  • The only FRUSTRATION FREE trimmer I've ever used!
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
Had this long enough to have used it plenty now. Wanted to try it out more than once or twice to really review it. I had trouble at first getting the head to twist to the side or back. Also had trouble getting the line spool out. But after using it more, these things got easier & are no problem now. They were just very new & still at first & I have hand/arm strength problems anyway. So if you get this, don't be so fast to send it back!! I almost did that, but now I love it, have no problem with the twisting parts moving like I want, & the adjustable length is a godsend. I read a lot of reviews for many trimmers & it seems to be a repeating problem that auto line feeds don't let the string out or let it all out. I have to say I've had NO PROBLEM at all with the line feed at all. In fact this is the only trimmer I've ever used that I can say that about!! It was very heavy for me at first, until I pushed the handle as short as it would go, & that balanced the weight for me so it was easy to use. I'm an older woman w/ arm weakness, & If I can get it to where I can use it easily, any woman should be able to do the same without much of an issue with the trimmer weight. This trimmer works well, stays plugged in tightly, has nice features that make cutting in different situations easy (I use it turned sideways along fences for climbing vines quite often), & feeds the line at just the right rate to not use up a whole spool in a single use. I do recommend buying a spare line spool to keep ready for a fast switch tho. I rewind them myself using .065 round line. The dual line feed spool isn't hard to rewind at all. This 15" GreenWorks Corded Trimmer is one of the best buys I made this year, & for sure the best trimmer I've ever used--frustration free. ... show more

  • Has power,a little heavy
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
To start with, I like the fact that I can easily purchase the spools for this trimmer. The problem I have with it is it's a little on the heavy side and kind of hard for me to manage But it does have a lot of power

  • Heavy Duty
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
My old trimmer was shot so i needed a new one. I purchased this one based on the features and price. This is heavier than I thought, but I am a big guy so not an issue. I like the ability to trim the edges of my grass with ease because of the adjustable head . . . it took some maneuvering but I was able to easily make the adjustments . . . the result was a professional look. The only thing that was a pain was the string line . . . my old trimmer lost a spring that advanced the line . . . my need was to get a trimmer where I didn't have to open the cover to let more line out . . . unfortunately, I needed to keep opening the cover, depressing a button to release the line . . . not the issue of the trimmer, but an issue with nylon line that seemed to be fused or melted in spots where the line wouldn't advance on its own. I purchased additional line and hopefully it won't be an issue going forward. ... show more

  • It has the needed power
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
I have had this trimmer only a short time. So far the performance has been very good. The power is very good along with double string feed, seems to get the job done (single feed lines trimmers are undersized). It takes a little time to get used to the double wheel roller for edging. I use this almost exclusively for edging. This is my my 3rd Greenworks purchase (I also have a thatcher & hedge trimmer) and more than satisfied with them all. Seems well made and comes with 4 year warranty. ... show more

  • This is a terrible machine.
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
This is the worst purchase that I have made through Amazon. Assembly was easy. The trimmer was somewhat heavy, and the cutting line was very thin, especially matched with the size and heaviness of the motor. After edging a small area, I saw that about half of the line had worn off, and I tapped on firm ground a couple of times to advance the line. No advance. Tried again without results. Checked my owners manual and could see that there was a section for removing the trimmer spool. Could not read the tiny print for directions. After prolonged search, found a small magnifying glass, and learned the this machine had an automatic feed system, something that I did not want, and would have never have bought this thing if I had known. It obviously did not work, and tapping the ground provided no solution. Removing the spool also proved to be impossible. So I am tossing this shopping mistake in the trash, and do not wish to spend any further monies towards fixing it. I'll try again, to buy a corded, electric string trimmer that has no automatic string advances, but rather advances the string by tapping on the ground. ... show more

  • Terrible Model
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
Bought this model to replace the bigger Greenworks 21142 model which was getting too heavy for a senior citizen. The weight is good, plenty cutting power, however, the line advance is horrible. The 21142 has a tap advance which works fine, this model requires one to turn the switch on and off. It took me 10 minutes to edge my concrete sidewalk 15 feet, then finally the line disappeared and I had to take the spool off (directions on the manual is terrible and was not easy to pull off cap, had to pry with a screwdriver), and rewind and re-thread. Gave up, took out my old Craftsman edger and finished the rest of the job (about 100 feet) in 15 minutes. The line advance is definitely a loser!! I have no remorse of my other two Greenworks products. I will look into buying another brand such as Worx or Ryobi. Used this trimmer a 2nd time. Very strong and cut well, however whenever I set the position to weedwack, a slight nudge on the grass catcher would move the head back to the edger position. Kept trying and making sure that the button had clicked to lock the head in place, but the same thing would happen. I called customer service and they were very understanding and assured me that they would fix the problem, however, there was no warranty service center where I live, so they just sent me a new one. I received the new trimmer in a week and it worked just fine. Still don't like the line advance, but must give props to good customer service. ... show more

  • Very good price and easy to assemble
Size: 15" Corded Trimmer Pattern Name: String Trimmer
It does the job well for the price and no batteries to recharge. If you have a huge yard this is not the tool you need .
