  • Perfect for a small to medium size lawn
Size: 19" Mower (2x4.0Ah)
I have a fairly small front lawn and lower end of medium sized back lawn. This works perfectly for me. I purchased in early Spring last year and am now starting my second season of mowing. The batteries get a full recharge after only a couple of hours, and how long they last depends on how tall your grass is. There has only been twice that I had to stop for a recharge, once was when my grass was fairly tall during a 'first mow of the season', the other was wanting to test the batteries and was using them on a second mow a week after the first- to which they nearly lasted the whole time. The mower is very easy to assemble, light to maneuver and leaves a very nice cut on the lawn. My lawn isn't perfectly level, and after having a gas-powered mower with a self-propelling feature, I had to get used to the mower not just moving naturally over the uneven ground, but the mower is so light it was just that, something to get used to. It actually takes me less time now to mow my lawns, and is easier with the light weight of the mower. I charge the batteries in-between each mow to ensure I have enough battery and have never had an issue. I highly recommend this mower. ... show more

  • A no-nonsense, no-frills mower - everything you need, nothing that you don't.
Size: 18" Corded Mower
What a great little mower. Came essentially fully assembled, and within 5 minutes it was ready to plug in and mow. I had a similar electric mower from Greenworks (Model 25142) which had more plastic, was 2" narrower, and was $30 more expensive. I bought this one for my rental house and I am seriously considering taking this one for my own house and giving the renters my other one. It's just a nicer mower The best part is that the blade enclosure on this one is all metal, as opposed to my other one which is plastic. Cuts smoothly, is relatively quiet, and is light enough to be maneuverable. The only thing I noticed is that the wheel wells can get gummed up with grass clippings. You have to push the clippings down and through the small gap that connects into the are where the blade is. I expect that over time, the renter will leave the clippings, they will harden, and it will simply be a solid mass of dry grass... not a big deal, but it is a minor design flaw. There is simply not a better mower I am aware of for $110.00, which is what I paid for it. If you have a small lawn (less than 1/3 acre), and are willing to invest in a 12- or 14-gauge cord, this is infinitely better than a gas mower. A word of warning for ANY electric mower... the longer the cord, the lower the cord gauge needs to be. You will see people reviewing this mower saying the mower stopped working after 20 minutes... almost guaranteed they tried using it with a 16-gauge, 100-foot cord. You will burn the mower up that way. Read the instructions... it has a chart showing the required gauge of cord for the length needed. Your safest bet is to buy a nice 12-gauge cord at the same time that you order this mower. There are several 12-gauge, 75-foot cord options on here for under $50. Don’t cheap out on the cord... you’ll be tossing your mower away in 20 minutes. ... show more

  • I love the mower, but I wish a grass catcher was available for it
Size: 18" Corded Mower
This is a perfect mower for small to medium city lots. If you have an expansive suburban backyard, where you have to mow a long distance away from an electrical outlet, this is not a mower for you - but you probably already knew this. For smaller lots, this is a great mower. We've had it for a few years, and it works great on long-grass (the first mowing after the winter when you suddenly realize the grass is knee high), as well as well maintained grass. It has a relatively sturdy metal housing, it is easy to manouver, and it is really easy to adjust the height (I think it has 5 different options). As in all corded lawn mowers, you have to get used to pushing the mower while keeping the cord away from the mower. Is it a pain? Not too much. I'll take that any day over gas or battery operated ones. Why this vs gas? It pollutes less, and I don't like having to fill up a tank, and smell fumes while I do yard work - but it is a matter of taste. Why this vs battery operated? It is lighter it can keep going for as long as you need it, and it is available whenever you need it. With the battery operated ones, you have to make sure that the battery is charged, and as soon as the battery loses some of its charge, the mower becomes less and less useful. What would have made this mower perfect for me would have been the possibility to attach a grass catcher. Although it is great to have the mulching option, it is also great to have the option of catching the grass when you first mow (and the amount of cut grass on the lawn is way too much) or when there is already enough mulch on the ground. I didn't thing this through when we got the mower, and I now have to dethatch our lawn, which is a bit of a pain. It does have a side chute - it would be awesome if the manufacturer made a bag that attached to the chute. ... show more
