Yes, the battery can just last about 20 minutes, the time to cut front yard. I think it fits someone like me who need a break between front yard and the backyard. It's not for professional guys to work on clients' yards. But it's really good for someone in his high 50s who doesn't want to rush to get exhausted. The best thing is that there's no smell that usually come with the gas mower. Working on these machine gives you perfect time to deep breath the fresh air around your property, which is very good excise and make you happy and healthy in a long run. It's a greatest buy so far for me. I just fired my gardener who have been annoyed me by the gas smell for the past ten years and get started my exciting weekly enjoyment.     • Powerful and easy to use!

Bought this to finally replace my gas powered lawn mower. Previously I had a few different gas mowers fail on me, so I figured I should try something new. So far, this thing has been working great for us. The battery life seems to be pretty decent. However, I have noticed I can only mow one lawn at a time, ie front or back. Then I have to go and charge the batteries again before mowing again. This isn't a deal breaker for us because mowing both front and back is typically a lot to do at once. This mower also didn't come with a bag, which I didn't notice in the description at first. However, this hasn't been a problem at all. Surprisingly, the mulching of the grass has been working fine and we barely notice it due to the fineness of the cut grass. Overall this mower has been a great value and I am glad I bought it. I may update this review in the future to add details about the battery life if it starts to go down in quality over time. ... show more

Bought this in May and have used it all summer. My son started mowing this year and it made me feel better that he wasn't dealing with the gasoline of our old mower. He's able to take the batteries and install them himself. Obviously, the push button start is a no brainer instead of a pull start. The photos are our backyard which hasn't been mowed in a couple weeks and it's rained a lot. It was able to get thru this grass without stalling out(like the old one). I did have to go over a couple areas a couple times to get all the grass cut, but it was thick and really long in places. Our yard is small. We can do the front yard and about half the back on on charge of the battery. Not a big deal. Only takes a couple hours to recharge. When I was mowing this time, the little black flap that drags on the back of the mower got caught in the blade and cut part of it off. User error. Not a big deal. Overall, we really do like this mower and are happy with our purchase. ... show more

20230514 update: I’ve used this mower now four times since purchasing it and I’m a little disappointed in it. The first time, it did my whole yard and I had one line on each battery. The second time, my friend used it to cut my yard and it died half way through cutting my yard and he had to finish using my corded lawnmower. The third time, the lawnmower died and I had about a patch of grass under my kitchen window in my backyard that didn’t get done. I used it today, and the lawnmower died again, this time both sides of my house and the front yard patch on the side next to my neighbor’s front yard and my driveway isn’t cut. My backyard and my front yard sans the other side of the driveway are cut. My yard didn’t get bigger and the grass isn’t longer than two weeks ago when we had rain for four days straight. I don’t know what is going on and why this is happening. If I figure it out, I’ll update you. Initial review: I have a corded lawnmower from them that is almost 20 years old and still working with no issues. I was looking for an electric lawnmower without a cord because cutting my yard with a cord has become a pain especially since I have nicked my cord a few times. So when I was looking for a replacement, I went for the same company as the original one. This one didn't fail to deliver. The only issue I had was that the instruction on how to adjust the blade was not very cleared. My friend was able to figure it out for me and I was able to cut my yard. I was able to completely cut my yard with only one green line on each battery left. I live on a fourth of an acre. I hope this lawnmower last as long as my original.     • Great Light-Duty Electric Lawnmower

I was not expecting much in the way of quality when I ordered the Greenworks 12 Amp 18" Corded Electric Lawn Mower from Amazon. In the past I would have gone to Sears, Target, Lowes or Home Depot for a new lawnmower. But most of the options at those establishments were much more expensive battery powered electric lawnmowers, and I was not interested in the limited power, limited battery life and expense of replacement rechargeable batteries associated with such mowers. I already had the 100 ft. high-gauge power cord used with my previous electric lawnmower (which recently broke after 25 years of use), so the only expense for a new corded lawnmower would by the mower itself. After receiving the Greenworks Corded Electric Lawn Mower from Amazon, I was immediately impressed by how well-built it was with a heavy-gauge metal main housing and metal handle assembly. Even the plastic parts are solidly made. The easy to follow assembly instructions made short work of putting the handle together and I was soon ready to cut my lawn (which was somewhat overgrown in areas that I couldn't mow after my previous electric mower broke down). The Greenworks 18" Corded Electric Lawn Mower easily mowed down even the tallest grass on my lawn, cleanly cutting through the grass without bogging down at any time. My use of the mower showed it to be light-weight, sturdy and powerful -- a real steal for the price! For the medium-sized lawns of suburban homes, this corded electric mower is the perfect solution to keeping your grass cut and your lawn in good shape!
