  • For a small yard, this is great!
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
We have a small lake house and I wanted something I could store in the house when not in use since it has no garage. I thought I'd try battery powered as I didn't feel comfortable storing gas in the house. I've had this a couple of months now and can report it is working great! I will tell you the one flaw which is if it hits any bumps in the yard, the battery can pop loose. At first, I debated returning the unit as defective but think maybe it is a safety to prevent damage to the blade. Now that I've used it many times, I realize that limitation and am just careful when I go over bumps and it is not a problem. If your yard is very rough with a lot of rocky areas, this might be a problem for you but if you have a normal yard, it will not be a problem. The mower runs about 20-30mins on a charge. It has two speeds so if the grass is really long and it has to bump up to high speed, the run time will be about 20mins. On normal speed, you will get 30mins. IT is enough time for me to mow the yard when running normal speed but if I procrastinate and let the grass get long where it is always running in high speed, it isn't quite enough to mow it all. Our yard is about 60 feet wide so on the smallish side. Mower cuts grass really neatly btw. No gas and the charging is super simple as well. Works like the dewalt chargers if you are familiar with those. The mower does have folding handle which is nice since I store it inside after each use. I like the large wheels as they make it easy to roll up and down the stairs to the house. Adjustment for cut height is also a simple one handle deal but Ieave it on the same cut height every time so no issue there. Can't think of anything else to say other than I really like it. A second battery would be smart if you have a large yard as battery charging takes a couple hours. I am very happy with the purchase so far. ... show more

  • Poor quality.
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
Wheel pin came apart at the frame after 3 uses. See picture of good right wheel and broken left wheel pin. It came loose from the frame (poor weld).

  • A real pleasure to use!
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
This mower is more efficient than the original 19" Greenworks 2-blade Model 25302. This single blade model seems to cut 100% of the grass blades vs. about 99% with the older model and it mulches much more efficiently. However, I'm grateful that I already had 5 of the Greenworks 40volt G-Max batteries because I have their leaf blower, rototiller and pole saw. I'm grateful because the new motor design and single blade definitely use more amps per hour than the older model. With the old Model 25302 I can mow thick 4" grass or mulch 2-3 inch deep leaves for about 50 minutes using a 2 Ah and 4 Ah. This mower depleted a 2 Ah and 4 Ah battery in 28-30 minutes. Since this mower only has one battery socket (the older one has 2), I will mount a spare battery carrier on the cross bar of the handle so I don't have to keep going back to the pole barn to swap batteries. I love the side discharge! The old mower has a rear discharge which is best used with the bag attachment... or, the "door" can be tied open 1/2 way to allow grass to shoot out the back. Tall work boots are recommended if the grass is damp. The only "scary" issue was that I couldn't get the 1st depleted battery out of the socket without using angle-jaw pliers to depress the latch and a screwdriver to pry the battery loose. Keep in mind that I was using one of the old 2 Ah batteries. The 2nd battery swap (another old battery) went easier, but still required the tools. The 3rd and 4th swaps did not require tools to disengage the lock. Would I purchase this again if I could go back in time to the purchase day? Absolutely. You may not be happy with a single battery. I haven't tried the 5 Ah battery that came with the machine because it didn't get done charging until I was already mowing with the 5th battery. ... show more

  • I love this mower!
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
I freaking love this mower! This is my first electric mower, and honestly, it's a game changer. I bought it because my gas mower wouldn't start, and I didn't want to put it in my car to take it to the repair shop. Best decision ever. It's so lightweight I can mow with one hand! It's super easy to maneuver and starts with the push of a button, so no more yanking cords or dealing with gas. The battery life is good, but I had to get a second battery because my yard is pretty big. The brushless motor is much quieter than a gas mower. The cut is clean, height adjustment is easy, and the high wheels make it glide over uneven spots like a dream. If you're tired of loud, heavy, gas-powered mowers and want something efficient and low maintenance, this is it. I didn't expect to be this excited about a mower, but I truly love this thing! ... show more

  • Updated: Poor Quality Control and Even Poorer Customer Service...
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
Updated 20250727 - 3 star - Was finally able to get a hold of the company via their website chat. A replacement battery was delivered to me and now I have the mower working. It's nice and lightweight which I like and it has the power to mow what I need it to mow with no issues. Hopefully moving forward I will not have any other issues with it. Poor Quality, Poor Customer Service. - 1 star Bought this new mower excited, but on first use discovered that the battery pops out and cannot be used. The latch on the battery does not come all of the way up, so it cannot be locked in place. That is just poor quality control. It would be fine if I could get a hold of the company for warranty replacement but no one answers the chat and the phone disconnects you after a 10 minute or so wait. There is no way to contact by e-mail so I'm basically stuck with a defective product. Very disappointed in the brand as they are prominent online and here on Amazon. I'd avoid them in the future... ... show more

  • Initial issue, but Greenworks made it right
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
This mower is powerful enough to handle thick, wet fescue. It's a lot quieter than a gas mower! The battery lasts long enough to complete my yard, and uses the same battery as the other Greenworks 40v tools. The first mower I received had a bad weld where the axle on the rear wheel attaches to the mower. After a couple of rounds of mowing, the axle detached completely and the mower couldn't be used, which was annoying. Especially for a brand new mower! I contacted Greenworks customer service, and they were very helpful. After I sent pictures of the broken wheel, they shipped a new mower. I received the replacement mower within a few days. It did not have the same issue with a bad spot weld. So, while the first mower had a quality control issue, the replacement is solid. Can't really ask for more than that from customer service! ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
My only negative so far is that the 4 amp battery does not last long. Fortunately from another Greenworks product I have a second battery. Depending on the size of the yard, you may need to a second battery or one with more amps. There are 5, 6,and 8 amp battery available. I was able to purchase this to during Prime days, and now it is $100.00 more. I've been using this for about a month with very good results. The machine is light weight and generally easy to push. The cutting width is decent and the engine has good strength. I have been cutting semi bush with it and until the power ran down, it worked like a champ. When you start it up, give it a few seconds because the power takes a second or two commence. ... show more

  • Disposable- possibly "single use" lawnmower
Size: 19" Mower (5.0Ah)
Before making any major purchase, you might want to look up the customer service line for that specific product, call it and see if you can get an answer within 20 minutes. If you don't, you may want to purchase a product from a different manufacturer. Spoiler- they aren't going to pick up the phone. But try it: Just to see if service exists. Disposable mower. Gas power is likely less destructive. Used mower once. Version MO40L510 (ERP 2539602). Tool fell on it in my garage and tore wire from the switch box assembly. You really can't repair a switch box assembly. There is a lot of spring-loaded components. I then found it is also basically impossible to order a switch box assembly. Greenworks toll free number is terrible. Service does not exist. Internet site won't query the part number and PartsWarehouse.com had switchbox for earlier model, but not this one. Seriously, disposable motor. Works until it doesn't and then its landfill waste. If you do buy, follow warranty procedure religiously, but even then: you'll be dialing 1-888- on hold music ... show more
