And as should be expected I was excited and unboxed it, assembled it charged up the battery and after supper I just had to take it for a test now. Wow it pushes so easy and is really quiet. I mowed half the yard you know like a kid with a new bike 😉. It got dark before I got finished. Tomorrow is the finishing day. I am extremely happy so far.

I was really doubting what these battery products could do versus my old gas powered equipment. Boy was I surprised! Well made, powerful, quiet and light...with no maintenance needed! Been so good to me, my neighbors are asking me where they can buy them. If you want more details, read below: The weed eater in this bundle is not the best due to its head being designed to use a ratcheting, self-advancing line setup. At first, I was going to return it because it would not feed properly and I had to untangle it regularly. Now that I have used it more, I understand how to make it work properly. You have to let the head come to a COMPLETE stop before revving it again to advance the line. When it slows down and is ready to advance the line, you'll hear it click, that's when you rev it. I rarely have to open it and untangle the line anymore. The mower and blower are both excellent! The mower is small but I have a small yard so its perfect for me. I would not recommend this bundle for a larger yard though, unless you buy many extra batteries. The bundle comes with one 40v and one 20v battery. GET ANOTHER 40V BATTERY! They are around $100ea but I promise, you will be mad if you don't have at least two 40v batteries. I have a small yard on about a 1/8 acre plot, I use up 1 & 1/2 40v batteries per mow. This includes using the battery for the mower, weed eater and blower. The 20v battery only works for about 30min max, its the emergency battery for me. For regular mowing, you will have no issues, the mower cuts surprisingly well for having a plastic blade. The mower is not the best in extremely overgrown areas, you will have to make a couple passes, that's true for my gas powered mower also btw. The blower is great and has a powerful motor, not one issue with it. I love it so much, I blow off my front and back porches almost daily now. I guess we all do become our dads eventually. All of that being said, I am so happy I made this switch. No more filling gas cans, mixing oil, or any maintenance of any kind. And not having to pull-start the equipment is a huge game changer! I just slap in a battery and get moving. Plus, this equipment is quiet! Want to mow at 2am? Nobody will notice, Karen nextdoor will be sound asleep and life is good. Also, the mower is light! You feel like you're pushing a kids toy but that makes things easier when you are maneuvering around things. If you've been on the fence about battery powered lawn equipment, try this setup, you will not be disappointed! Who cares what the neighbors think? Look them square in the eye, with pride, while they're still pulling and you're almost done mowing.

Do not buy Greenworks products on Amazon as yo will have ZERO warranty. Beware this mower has no warranty so once outside the 30 day return window you can not get any assistance with defective or broken parts. Greenworks says Amazon is the seller and shipper and that there is ZERO warranty if bought from Amazon. The Mowers rear protective shield has been broken for over a year and Greenworks doesn't respond to messages and Greenworks Customer Warranty support says there is no warranty if bought from Amazon and no replacement parts are available for sale for the mower. It becomes a safety issue if you ever were to hit any metal or rock hidden in the grass as those objects would come flying back at your legs and cut them at best and one can only imagine the worst case scenario. I tried using it anyway and have had tiny objects that were hidden in the grass come back and cut my ankle so It is overall a good mower with poor battery life like every other battery powered mower so you have to buy more than one battery or have to wait hours for the battery to recharge before you can even finish moving a very small yard. The main issue is that Greenworks Warranty is of no use and they won't even sell the replacement part for the mower and want you to buy an entire new mower rather than allow you to purchase a plastic rear trail shield replacement part. I paid $299.00 for the mower and I know to many that may not be much but I am a veteran on service connected disability so my income is a bit limited so I couldn't afford to buy a new mower just to replace the safety feature part of a rear shield or what some companies call a rear trail shield that protects your legs from debris flying out from under the rear of the mower. In a perfect world there would never be any hidden small rocks limbs or pieces of plastic in your yard but in reality most people will hit something at some point that they did not see because it was so small and then be hurt from this mower. It is sad that I don't think this mower is worse than any other battery powered mower and has a great mower deck height adjustment that is superior to many more costly mowers. Its' problems mainly are in the fact that once anything goes wrong with the mower they will tell you to buy a entire new mower because they do not warranty the parts or even sell the replacement parts. Good luck getting anyone from there warranty phone number to ever respond back to you but if you are persistent enough you can get a human to respond after months of trying only to be told they won't honor the warranty or even sell the broken replacement part. Since Amazon sells the product they tell you you have to contact the manufacturer for warranty or replacement parts yet Greenworks won't honor the warranty or even sell the replacement part. I have tried googling the part number and it seems you can't get a replacement part for the mower anywhere that I could find and Greenworks absolutely says they do not sell that replacement part and would have to just buy an entire new mower if I was that concerned about my safety from not having the rear shield on the mower. I'm going to try filing a complaint with the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection so maybe they an at least get the company to sell the safety replacement part or issue a recall if they continue to refuse warranty support or even sell the safety part. Every other brand I have now looked at sells the replacement rear trail shield for no more than $29.00 but Greenworks won't even sell you the part like other manufacturers do when the item is outside the warranty period. Mine is well within the warranty period and they say it is a normal wear and tear item but refuse to sell a replacement part and want you to buy a new mower. Amazon says they are not responsible that the manufacturer refuses to honor the warranty since it was sold on Amazon.com and that Greenworks does not sell anything but replacement blades and a few knobs for this mower so it is essentially a disposable unit once anything goes wrong as Amazon sells Greenworks is responsible for the warranty and Greenworks says Amazon is responsible since they sold it and it has no warranty if bought off Amazon.com. Beware of buying Greenworks tools on Amazon.com as they have ZERO warranty according to Greenworks. You are buying disposable Greenworks tools on Amazon.com as there is no actual warranty and in the case of this mower there are no replacement parts made by Greenworks or anyone else to fit this mower. Amazon is the seller and shipper so the listing is false advertising and fraud by Amazon saying it has a 3 year warranty when it has only a 30 day return policy for this through Amazon and ZERO warranty. If you want to get scammed out of your money then buy this otherwise buy from an authorized seller that will guarantee warranty coverage. Do not buy this model anywhere though as the only parts made for this particular model is the blade and a few screws or pins for the handle. If you were ever to need to replace the defective rear safety shield or even the grass catcher you are out of luck as they don't make replacement parts for this mower and only their much larger mowers have replacement parts.

This mower is very lightweight. You can push it up easily to mow steep slopes. You can pick it up and carry it over rock outcrops, footbridges, etc. It is small enough to maneuver in tighter spots than most big mowers. I only use it in mulch mowing mode; I like my lawn to self-nourish. And it does not leave clumps or clods of clippings, they just disappear. This mower is exceedingly quiet compared to any gas powered mower! The 40V batteries are on their fourth summer and not showing any signs of diminished performance. I was initially worried about the all-plastic housing, but frankly the weight reduction is worth it, and while my mowing areas are very rugged, the housing has stood up to all the abuse. My only wish, costing one star, is for a wider version for handling the larger more-level lawns. 16 inches means a lot more trips across the lawn! I’m also disappointed that Greenworks hasn’t created a small solar panel for recharging my 40V batteries…I’ve asked several times. I’d rather be completely off-grid with my tools!

I was so reluctant to purchase a battery powered lawn mower. The Greenworks 40v mower has exceeded my expectations. I also purchased an extra battery just in case one battery wasn't enough; it was. The cut was so so good and clean. I can’t recommend this enough. Highly recommended.
