This is not going to do the job of a large snow removal machine. It will do great if used appropriately. I have 2 electric snow blowers a hybrid battery and electric, and now this battery only. I also have two electric 'snow shovels'. (And one gas unit that has been in the attic for 10 years because I hate maintaining it). I have 2 greenworks mowers, a hedge trimmer, snow shovel, chain saw, edge trimmer and work light. I have high regard for them - I also have a lot of batteries, which was a factor in getting this unit. My driveway is over 1700 sq ft. I get several snow storms of at least several inches per year. I generally push snow away from the center and use the blowers to remove the snow, works well. It is narrower than my electric, and I often use 3 blowers (2 electric one battery) at the same time (with others helping on big storms). Chute direction and discharge angle are easy to adjust, starts without fail, and is very light (like my other electrics, it hangs on the garage wall nicely) ... show more

I bought this to keep my deck cleared off and to use for small snowfalls that doesn't require my big snow blower. The first time I used it for my deck, there was about 2 1/2 to 3 feet of snow on it. I was able to get a small path cleared on the front of the deck to walk on and I was able to lift the blower up onto the top of the bank and start the big job of clearing the rest. Long story short... It cleared my whole deck 15' x25' with no issues. I did have to recharge the battery twice because of the amount of snow but it did great! Now I go out and clear it every time it snows without it building up. ... show more

This unit has everything going for it with size, weight, easy to maneuver. I maybe โ€œshootingโ€ up the wrong tree but it seems to get clogged fast so I have to stop frequently to clear it and the underbelly too. Could be the snow today is wet. So I will test a few more strips later. Snow is approx 6โ€ and I cleared walkway and 1/4 of the drive way and sidewalk with battery life left. No complaint there! ... show more

This little thrower works incredibly well! Even my tiny wife used it with ease at the end of the driveway after the plows went by. You do have to walk kind of fast so it throws the snow, but that does not seem to be an issue. We had 6โ€ of snow around Denver and it worked great! We really recommend this machine. ... show more

I bought this to remove snow from my deck. It works awsome at throwing the snow. It was 18" deep. The down side is the battery only lasted long enough to do a 3 foot by 8 foot section. At this rate it will take all day to do the deck. Amazon waited 5 days before shipping it. They used to ship same day or next day and with prime It was usually 2 day shipping. ... show more

I had a little plug in that worked ok but there were places I couldn't reach. This cordless throws the snow as well as the other. The battery won't last as long as they say, but they never do. I got the 16" for light weight and more battery life. I'm not disappointed.

I know what your thinking, could a battery powered snowthower really work. I just took it out on 8" of snow (granted it is 5 days old and still pretty light) and it mowed right though it without bogging down. I went for the 16" model vs the 20" because based on other reviews if you get after it on the 20" it will shut off due to the motor getting overloaded. I use it on my office sidewalks and I shall hopefully never use the shovel again. It is light (I can pick it up with the battery in it with one hand) and throws the snow at least 15 feet. I had a better expectation for this snow blower. It is light and easy to use but just levels the snow rather than clearing it. The channel where the snow blows out kept getting clogged if I did not go fast enough which is a drawback since going fast on snow it not easy. It ran better when I went faster but did not clear as much snow when I did. The battery stayed charged long enough for me to clear our drive and walk and still had power. I love the battery feature. I will keep it because it is better than shoveling and no cord to worry about getting in the way. ... show more
