I was really doubting what these battery products could do versus my old gas powered equipment. Boy was I surprised! Well made, powerful, quiet and light...with no maintenance needed! Been so good to me, my neighbors are asking me where they can buy them. If you want more details, read below: The weed eater in this bundle is not the best due to its head being designed to use a ratcheting, self-advancing line setup. At first, I was going to return it because it would not feed properly and I had to untangle it regularly. Now that I have used it more, I understand how to make it work properly. You have to let the head come to a COMPLETE stop before revving it again to advance the line. When it slows down and is ready to advance the line, you'll hear it click, that's when you rev it. I rarely have to open it and untangle the line anymore. The mower and blower are both excellent! The mower is small but I have a small yard so its perfect for me. I would not recommend this bundle for a larger yard though, unless you buy many extra batteries. The bundle comes with one 40v and one 20v battery. GET ANOTHER 40V BATTERY! They are around $100ea but I promise, you will be mad if you don't have at least two 40v batteries. I have a small yard on about a 1/8 acre plot, I use up 1 & 1/2 40v batteries per mow. This includes using the battery for the mower, weed eater and blower. The 20v battery only works for about 30min max, its the emergency battery for me. For regular mowing, you will have no issues, the mower cuts surprisingly well for having a plastic blade. The mower is not the best in extremely overgrown areas, you will have to make a couple passes, that's true for my gas powered mower also btw. The blower is great and has a powerful motor, not one issue with it. I love it so much, I blow off my front and back porches almost daily now. I guess we all do become our dads eventually. All of that being said, I am so happy I made this switch. No more filling gas cans, mixing oil, or any maintenance of any kind. And not having to pull-start the equipment is a huge game changer! I just slap in a battery and get moving. Plus, this equipment is quiet! Want to mow at 2am? Nobody will notice, Karen nextdoor will be sound asleep and life is good. Also, the mower is light! You feel like you're pushing a kids toy but that makes things easier when you are maneuvering around things. If you've been on the fence about battery powered lawn equipment, try this setup, you will not be disappointed! Who cares what the neighbors think? I use lots of Greenworks tools and have a basket full of batteries at this point. I generally love their products and am pleasantly surprised with this one. The blower is a solid hand held blower, better than the other two Greenworks blowers I have. The trimmer is a single line spool, but a capable little machine. It isn't very long, so if you are tall, you may hate it. I'm sort of short, so it fits me fine. The mower is my first battery mower. I use a big gas bagger, but it is heavy and hard to work in the tricky spaces. The green works mower is light and you can easily do ditches and humps and places larger mowers don't reach. I use it to clean up around shrubs after I trim them. It makes a nice clean edge, almost like a larger weedeater would. It doesn't hold a bunch, so you have to empty it frequently if you are picking up lots of biomass. IT has good height adjustments, so you can run it low, like a golf course cut or run it high and take the top off of taller stuff. It worked nicely around my farm pond to make a nice crisp edge right down to the water. This is not the tool for a yard of thick grass, even a small one. It has its place in the lawn care tool kit and if you don't ask too much from it, it does its job well. As for batteries, the 4 amp batteries are the trick. The 2 amp batteries are OK, but if you are running something that used a lot of juice, they don't last very long. I have one 4amp battery that is still going strong after 7 years. ... show more

    • Electric is not the way to go

If you're wondering if electric is the way to go for lawn tools. The short answer is no. The battery, after about 3-5 uses, will rarely last more than 10 minutes. So if you have less than a quarter acre lot to cut then you're good, but if not then you should look at a gas mower. Wet grass, dry grass, no grass, it doesn't matter because this mower will jam and shut itself down. It struggles with the shortest grass (less than 2"), and don't even think about cutting grass 3" or higher otherwise you'll never finish what you start on the same day because even with 2 4.0 batteries, you'll only be able to get about 20 minutes max if you're lucky ... show more

This has been a great set for the price! Only reason it got a 4 star is the battery life, I can cut my front yard with the mower and have barely enough juice to start the back. The mower is strong and on the quieter end. It fold nicely and easy to store. The whacker is extremely durable and easily cuts through growing tree sprouts and heavy foliage. I recommend this bundle for anyone with a smaller yard who lacks equipment and needs a cheaper reliable tools. ... show more

This products probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought. The lawnmower is so easy to run. I can do it with two fingers. My wife also helps me with it when I’m doing something else. The blower works outstanding. The edger works perfectly good product.

Overall it is a good bundle of equipment for the price, some of it feels like cheaper plastic. Everything is easy to use and maintain. Only issue is that the battery life does not last as long as I'd hope. We live on a smaller property in Texas, roughly 4500 sq ft. It can take a couple of days to finish the front and back, because the battery will die and need time to charge, then once it's charged it's too hot outside to finish the chore. It's good for what it is, but needs a longer battery life or you need additional batteries for larger jobs. ... show more

The Greenworks 40V mower with blower and string trimmer are exactly the combination for my lawn. I've tried other small electric mowers and have not had the best experience. I started with a Sun Joe MJ401E-PRO which lasted 3 seasons before the motor seized. I then purchased That motor seized so I purchased a Sun Joe MJ400E 12-Amp 13-Inch Electric Lawn Mower. This was worse. The motor seized after 4 uses! It was replaced under warranty and that mower seized after 3 uses. Needless to say, I threw it in the alley for someone to take. Once I received the Greenworks 40V 16" Brushless Cordless (Push) Lawn Mower + Blower (350 CFM) + 13" String Trimmer everything changed! Now I did not have to worry with chords! Having batteries is 1000 times better. It was simple to assemble and start up was a snap. the Greenworks mower is light weight and easy to maneuver. The battery charges quick and once charge is enough for me to mow, trim and blow! I would highly recommend this package to anyone with a smaller yard. I live in the city so it's nice not to have to burn fuel or worry about running over an electric chord. I can handle everything with one battery charged to capacity. ... show more

Just recently bought a new house at the age of 25 and the lawn was so over grown in the front and back yard. Looking for a deal for my first lawnmower and I came across this one. I’ve never heard of greenworks before but it’s the best discovery I’ve ever made. For my small house this size lawnmower is the best along with the 40v battery that is able to cut both the front and back and the edge trimmer works so great compared to gas ones I have been surprised this whole time and everytime I use it. Turns out my pops uses greenworks too and told me how great there products were. Good job greenworks on these amazing lawn care machines. Next ima buy the chain saw for the big log I got in the back. ... show more
