GREAT MOWER!
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
I LOVE this lawnmower! I am an older female that has had to take over all lawn mowing needs. This mower is light and quiet and has the power to get up the hilly areas of my yard. I'm still learning how to mow strategically to get the job done in a short amount of time. I bought a set of 2 extra batteries and I've had to use them both times I mowed so far. The second mowing I only had to use for a few minutes and they were still almost fully charged when I got done. I highly recommend this mower and an extra set of batteries which still puts the total below $600. Fantastic deal!

Light, quiet, cuts well
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
Assembly is easy. Self-propelled has a slider to adjust the speed. The push handle can be folded to take less storage space. But the battery is weak, a full charge takes more than 2 hours, and it does not finish the cutting in one charge (my yard is < 0.20 acre). With self-propelled drive in use, the battery drains even faster. However, cell phones, solar lights, EV cars.. all are not lasting much, so for the sake of convenience of battery driven motor(starting a gas mower hurts my arm and back sometimes), I gave 5 stars. And an extra pair of battery would solve the problem easily.

Great for small to medium yards. No issues with power or battery life
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
Runs like a champ. If you have a small to medium yard it’s perfect. All you have to do is walk behind the damn thing. Batteries last a long time.

It does what it’s supposed to do.
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
Edit: So this mower has had some ups and downs for me. I bought a second set of batteries. They last much longer than the originals, so maybe they weren’t as good. Additionally, I’ve noticed that since the weather has cooled off I can mow my backyard on a single charge. So for those who don’t live in the south (like I do) you may find the battery life more impressive. When I was mowing in 90 degree heat (from May to September its 90 by 9 am here) I’d get maybe 15-20 minutes. This week I mowed at about 65-70 and got about 45 minutes. Just something to keep in mind. I just want to start by saying that I think this listing has both a corded version and a battery operated version. I purchased the battery operated self propelled version. It arrived with a crack in the outer casing, so I was a little skeptical about putting it together instead of returning it. After looking it over I figured it was mostly cosmetic, and given the weight of the box, I decided just to keep it. Now the main reason it’s cracked is because it’s made of a cheap plastic. It feels pretty cheap to be honest. Like a kiddy toy honestly. Anyhow, beyond that it does what it’s supposed to do. I have about a quarter of an acre of mostly flat yard, with pretty thin grass. I was able to finish most of my yard on one battery, about 2/3rd I’d guess. I was figuring it out the first day, so I figure I could probably get the whole yard done on one battery by avoiding stopping and starting, going over areas multiple times or whatever. It’s easy enough to use and light enough that it was easy enough to maneuver. Met most of my expectations up front but I have the distinct feeling it won’t hold up long term. I do want to say that I’m really pleased with how easy it is to change the height on the blade. Updated review. I’ve had this thing for about a month now and find it less useful than when I first got it. The battery needs charged sooner every time I use it. The first time I used this I mowed my whole front yard and a third of my back yard in one battery. 2/3 of the back yard on a full charge. Now I barely get through half the front yard in one charge. Then the batteries have to cool for about an hour before I can even charge them, which takes 2 hours. So it basically takes a whole weekend to mow my 1/4 of an acre yard. If it gets any worse I’ll probably need to contact customer service for a replacement.

Great Lawnmower
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
I actually bought mine used here on Amazon, but I was very pleasantly surprised with it. It's WAY quieter than the old gas mower I had, but still does just as good a job. My one complaint, and I fully realize this could be user error or because I bought it used, but it's been a little over a year, and I can only seem to do about 2/3 of my yard before the batteries die. My wife SWEARS that it's because I'm mowing on a lower setting and making it work too hard, and that she's able to do the whole yard on a higher setting and then MOST of the yard on a lower setting . . . but I'm wondering if the batteries have just worn out a little. Either way, not enough of an issue for me to lower the rating . . . might have done 4.5 if half-stars were allowed . . . but they're not, and I'm not the kind of vindictive dude who'd say that we have to round down . . . so 5 it is.

Self propelling terrible, batteries terrible, cuts terribly
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
I bought this at the beginning of the summer. I've never had an electric/battery lawn mower before and it has been a learning curve. I needed a self propelled lawn mower. There is a switch for the speed. Turn the switch one way and it pulls the mower out of your hands. Turn the switch the other way and it will take all day to mow a small lawn. I learned that if you slightly move the switch it will alter the speed (but not slightly). If I accidently hit the switch, it takes a lot of time readjusting the speed. If you simply release the self propel lever, the wheels are locked. You must push for a couple of feet after releasing for the wheels to roll freely thereafter. When cutting, it leaves the left side of the cutting path much taller than the right. I often have to cut the my yard twice. The second time about a foot to the right of the original cutting path. The Batteries (this could take a while) I have a small front yard about 40x40 and a small back yard about 60x20. I can not cut them on the same day. I actually cut the most visible section of my front yard in fear that the battery won't last before I finish. I can not depend on the batteries recharging when I plug them into the charger. I plug them in several times to make sure the fan in the charger starts. When it died on my today, I'm pretty sure that one battery had charged and the other had not. I can't imagine why anyone would give this POS 5 stars.

Mows ok, drives poorly
Size: 21" SP Mower (2x5.0Ah)
I've been mowing with this mower for 2 months now, with pros & cons: Pros: - Quiet enough I'm not worried about annoying my neighbors - Simple plug & play battery packs, no need to keep hot cans of gas around the garage - Mows acceptably even with some tall-ish grass (keeping up on it mostly weekly) Cons: - Drive engages ~2 seconds after you squeeze the drive handle. This is annoying when using it in smaller areas as by the time it engages I've been pushing it most of the way. I've stopped using it unless I'm walking straight ahead for 15+ paces. - Drive locks wheels briefly after you disengage. IE when you want to pull back/turn, you have to give it a few seconds or rock it back and forward again before the back drive wheels will turn when pushing manually. With the slow engagement, it means I'm pushing for a few steps, driving a long stretch and then release a few seconds before I get to a corner. - Drive gets really slow about 1/2 way through a mow. The above things seem to be simple drive switch design issues but a slowing drive seems more like a limitation of the power source. 48v lets me mow 1/2 my 1/3 acre property at a time. I can get more than 1/2 but not a full property mow without recharging. In addition, the drive works at a reasonable pace for about 1/2 of each mowing session, after which I just push it. Conclusion: I'll keep it as I'm not keen on going back to gas mower fumes in my hot garage (no shed), and I've got the complementary cordless trimmer and blower now--but this mower is not a star performer for converting people to electric mowing.
