Received the mower today so this review is based on first time use. Assembly is super simple, consists of attaching top portion of handle bar and tightening of two bolts, and also tightening of two bolts of lower portion of push bar. Would not make sense to pay for professional assembly with this mower. The frame is made of metal and heavy, which is a relief as review of other electric mower I crossed shopped have plastic body or not sturdy. It’s almost as heavy as other gas powered mowers I have used in the past, but still easy enough to mow without self-propulsion. The motor is powerful and cuts the lawn with ease in mulching mode. Another review claims this model comes with brushless motor, but I couldn’t locate this spec in the Amazon item description l. I had new sod installed over 3 weeks ago and have very thick and tall grass prior to cutting today. Had no issue powering through and didn’t encounter any instance where the motor loses rpm in mulching mode. Height adjustment settings is easy, but I would only use the top two highest settings otherwise the grass would be cut way too short. Highest height would be medium or medium high for other gas powered mowers I have used in the past. Just a note to other prospective buyers but this isn’t an issue for me. The hopper for collecting grass is on the smaller side, but I am mulching so not applicable in my use case. I opt for corded version and expected minor inconvenience from managing the power cord during mowing. Turned out to be fairly easy to manage while mowing the small ~1500 sq ft yard. If you have outdoor electrical outlet and the yard is on the smaller side, save yourself some headache with batteries and go with the corded version. Durability is unknown since I’ve only used it once after received the mower less than 2 hours ago. The body is sturdy and the motor is powerful, so I feel this mower has solid build quality and if the motor and electrical wiring holds up, it should last for a while. Noise level is lower than gas powered mowers, but no no means is the operation quiet. Gone is the foul smell from gas engine exhaust, which as an allergy sufferer I appreciate greatly. Overall the lawnmower cuts well, is easy to steer and the self propelled function is a godsend. However, if I had the option to do it again I would opt for the larger batteries. I had to charge 4 times to get my yard done and that was just the front and sides. The grass was tall, first spring cut, but it should have lasted longer. It did cut even the tallest without issue, on mulch and set at 4 for wheel height so NO complaints on how it cuts. But, the battery life is terrible considering there were two and it didn't last 20 minutes each time. Yes, I did fully charge before using the first time and each subsequent time. Not my first battery tools. It is my first electric mower and it did a better job on the cut and no stall than my gas mower (which was stolen) ever did in tall grass. It does make noise but at less than half the volume of a gas mower so not bad! Weight is light enough for me to lift slightly to disgorge trapped grass...that happened only on a couple of really tall thick spots. Also, light enough that if I had to, I could pick it up. I probably won't use the bagger as I prefer mulching...it did a fine job mulching, could hardly tell the grass had been a foot plus tall. No complaints there! Now, as for the blower, plenty of power but as I have to trade the battery from the mower I will probably stick to mostly using my Ryobi. Finally, the weeder, not the best I've used, not even close. It barely cuts through regular grass on a driveway edge or next to a flowerbed. It struggled with tall thin weeds, chewed on them as opposed to slicing cleanly. I will try it again but I don't really anticipate a different result. I was hoping for the same quality as the mower but there's no comparison. The price of the three together and the quality of the mower made this an overall worthwhile purchase which is why the 4 stars, but the weeder and battery life prevent the 5th one. If I could trade up on the batteries alone I would add half a star. ... show more
