Super simple to assemble. Mowed my lawn with no problems. Mine is about 3,000 square feet. Easy to adjust the walking speed and the controls for engaging the drive are intuitive/natural. The batteries recharged in a very short time so it must not have used much charge to mow my yard. It is relatively quiet for a mower.     • An electric mower for the masses...
Size: 21"Corded Mower
Purchased this for a new home. Wanted to reduce noise level and try something different. Cord management: Yeah, it's kind of a pain. But after a week or two of regular use, you get the hang of it. You've just got to learn your instrument. Starting: Easy. Push a button and pull back on a handle. Instant start. How does it mow? Better than a gas mower. This thing has eaten through five yard's worth of high grass and weeds without so much as a whimper. It has NEVER stopped, how matter how big a bite of weeds/grass I took. When mowing high grass, just press down on the handle, move the mower forward, and lower the blade directly over the grass. Easy peasy. It's light weight makes mowing easier (if it weren't for the cord, it's light weight feels like your using a reel mower). Is it quieter than a gas mower? A little bit. Make no mistake, it still sounds like a lawnmower. But a slightly more refined, less in-yo-face, mower. No gas or oil required; just a long extension cord or two. And if it breaks, I don't have to cry because my $300+ mower bit the dust. Inexpensive, but it definitely doesn't feel cheap. Also, the single lever blade-height adjustment is something that's been a long-time coming. SOMEBODY SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT ONE YEARS AGO... GreenWorks has put a lot of brainal horsepower behind the design of this mower, and it shows. I'm a fan. Highly recommended. EDIT 9/27/2018: I found my only gripe about this mower: The clippings bag is too small. I'm used to larger bags that require emptying less often. Still, the bag works okay, but if you're mowing a lot, expect to empty the bag a lot. Also, the bag does taper toward the opening, which creates a jam point when emptying. This means you have to grab the clippings to pull them out of the bag. Otherwise, you'll be standing there all day trying to shake the clippings out of the bag. A minor annoyance, but not enough to dock a star. After an entire season of mowing some dense and very tall grass/weeds, this thing is still going strong. EDIT 11/2/2021: After 3-1/2 years, my GreenWorks is still going strong. Other than an occasional cleaning, the only thing I've done for it is to purchase a new blade that will go on next season (spring 2022). Edit: So this mower has had some ups and downs for me. I bought a second set of batteries. They last much longer than the originals, so maybe they weren’t as good. Additionally, I’ve noticed that since the weather has cooled off I can mow my backyard on a single charge. So for those who don’t live in the south (like I do) you may find the battery life more impressive. When I was mowing in 90 degree heat (from May to September its 90 by 9 am here) I’d get maybe 15-20 minutes. This week I mowed at about 65-70 and got about 45 minutes. Just something to keep in mind. I just want to start by saying that I think this listing has both a corded version and a battery operated version. I purchased the battery operated self propelled version. It arrived with a crack in the outer casing, so I was a little skeptical about putting it together instead of returning it. After looking it over I figured it was mostly cosmetic, and given the weight of the box, I decided just to keep it. Now the main reason it’s cracked is because it’s made of a cheap plastic. It feels pretty cheap to be honest. Like a kiddy toy honestly. Anyhow, beyond that it does what it’s supposed to do. I have about a quarter of an acre of mostly flat yard, with pretty thin grass. I was able to finish most of my yard on one battery, about 2/3rd I’d guess. I was figuring it out the first day, so I figure I could probably get the whole yard done on one battery by avoiding stopping and starting, going over areas multiple times or whatever. It’s easy enough to use and light enough that it was easy enough to maneuver. Met most of my expectations up front but I have the distinct feeling it won’t hold up long term. I do want to say that I’m really pleased with how easy it is to change the height on the blade. Updated review. I’ve had this thing for about a month now and find it less useful than when I first got it. The battery needs charged sooner every time I use it. The first time I used this I mowed my whole front yard and a third of my back yard in one battery. 2/3 of the back yard on a full charge. Now I barely get through half the front yard in one charge. Then the batteries have to cool for about an hour before I can even charge them, which takes 2 hours. So it basically takes a whole weekend to mow my 1/4 of an acre yard. If it gets any worse I’ll probably need to contact customer service for a replacement. ... show more

So this is a 48v electric lawn mower but it uses and comes with 2x of the 24v batteries that are standard use for the majority of their electric hand tools, of which, I have a good amount of, since I work in Renovation. They're the upper tier batteries, too; a couple of 5.0ah USB battery packs. Also the nice dual charger dock. So that's sick, definitely will be getting plenty of use otherwise. As far as the actual lawn mower's performance, it works really well. Cuts nice and wide, it's well powered and doesn't stall easily, the propulsion is great for hills, the height adjusting is easy. I bought this set with relatively low expectations, and wow was I wrong! The batteries charge super fast and stay charged longer than needed to get the job done. The quality of the power is amazing as well! I would recommend these items to anyone with a small/medium lawn.
