I purchased three of these to try to clear out some of the constant musty smell in my home, as well as the smell of the litter box that travels up from the basement no matter how clean we keep it. I plugged one in at the base of the stairs, one in the living room, and one in the hallway leading to the bedrooms, and while I'm still adjusting the dial for output as well as their final locations, I could tell the difference immediately. It adds a scent-quality to the air similar to hydrogen peroxide, which was very interesting, but also very satisfying in that it got rid of all the other less-than-appealing smells. 5/5 stars for functionality. I have two complaints. The first is something I will largely ignore due to how immediately and successfully the yuck-smell has dissipated from my home: These guys are LOUD. It's not the worst loud-fan sound, but there is a very noticeable hissing sound which increases in volume depending on how high you have the output set. There's no getting around it unless you turn the device off completely, which of course defeats the purpose. If you are sound-sensitive, this could be extremely disruptive and definitely something to take note of. The other and one that irks me to no end - the steady green glow that is put off from the dial is *extremely* bright. There is no way to turn it off, so I am stuck with this awful green that is bright enough to light up a room when all other lights are off - I would absolutely not be able to sleep with one of these in my bedroom. I will likely be purchasing some led dimming stickers, or covering it with electrical tape, but to me, this is a design flaw that could be remedied easily. Having said that, with how effective this is at odor control, I will likely be purchasing one or two more in the future if I need more square footage covered.

After wasting money and trying different plug in air cleanser devices, this one actually works. There IS a slight ozone odor, which can be adjusted to accommodate the size of the room where it is being used. Don't expect floral or citrus fragrance, just purified air. It definitely knocks out lingering odors such as in bathrooms and areas where there's dankness.

I hardly ever write these, but I was pleasantly surprised with this device. I bought one to use in the upstairs room that has a Litter Robot and it worked so well, I bought a second one down stairs for a bathroom with a regular litter box for the cat who won't use the Litter Robot. This thing annihilate odors. Cat odors! Color me impressed!

It will clear the air of any smell around it that you're trying to get rid of, but it mostly seems to do this by masking smells as it puts out it's own very strong chemical type smell. This is not a pleasant odor at all either. I have an air quality sensor down in the basement where I had initially used this. After using this for a day, the TVOC levels in my basement skyrocketed & the whole basement reeked with the chemical smell! VOCs are not good things to be breathing, & this thing seems to put them out readily. I later used it in my garage & the same thing happened. I don't recommend it.

I like that it has adjustable fan. I used this while watching some cats. One got inti a hide hole and urinated. I tried my best to get it cleaned, but I just couldn't reach it even though I lobbed some enzyme cleaner at it. This worked almost immediately. Also works on kitchen cooked onion smells. Also had a steam cleaned couch that still smelled like dog. Plugged this in and 3 days later the smell is gone.

One thing to know is this purifier has a little balancer on the bottom that allows you to use it in the lower plug of your wall outlet without it falling out. In addition, if you have an outlet with a switch on one side and plug on the other, this unit won't block the light switch. It does make a faint hissing sound when off, but in a bathroom that's not gonna matter since you're not living in there (I hope). I tried another brand because unlike this unit, it had a timer. but the features i mentioned mattered more to me. Be aware that none of these last forever because you can't access the mechanism that generates the ozone to replace it, and it's normal for them to wear out over time.
