The top cover is designed, so it just sits on top but not tight enough as small amounts of smoke came out In testing this, I allowed the unit to heat up, which takes some time and not sure if up to the temp set Then cooked 6 thin pork chops, then 4 beef patties and then 6 mid-sized sausages not turning the unit off at all. Even though setting temperature to over 400 degrees, it seemed it was not getting that hot to complete this cooking took about 1 1/2 hours total Just seemed over that timeframe that the unit was not maintaining the temp I set it to I think the top should sit a bit taller than it does, so if cooking something that is a bit taller with the cover on. The positive is that the tray with water you put on the bottom is everything I cooked was not dried out and tasted fresh even after being in the fridge and reheating, the meat and sausages were moist. Cleaning is a hassle, have to take it all apart each use to wash the water tray, the drain pan and the cooking top. I put them in dishwasher (as user's manual is weak in content and does not say or not if dishwasher is OK to use) and all came out clean Also, will have to handwash the unit itself after taking the fan out. Since the manual is very limited in content, I was not sure if and when the top cover should be used so lacking a decent manual really hurts the sellers' product of being used for best cooking results

First, be extremely careful when putting on the handle for the glass lid. It would explode if screwing on too tight. I feel that the factory should have done this step because it is dangerous and no torque value was given. Second, like some other reviews, the heating is kind of slow, but it works. Don't expect it to be high power unit. Third, the grill top side is easy to clean as it is coded with non-stick layer. The bottom side is harder because it does not have the non-stick. Forth, There are many tiny spots that is harder to clean and I don't know how to clean the fan yet. Overall, it is a okay unit if you only use it a couple of times a year.

I have a couple of Greecho products in my kitchen and they are all pretty good - this is no exception. The grill is a good size - you can fit quite a bit of food on it...it is SUPER easy to use, and it heats up quickly. It comes with 2 options for the grill plate, both work very well and cooks evenly. So far I have cooked hamburgers, steaks and chicken on it and all came out just as delicious as if I had cooked them on the outdoor grill. Also made bacon on it and that was much easier than frying it in a pan (and since you can cover it...no splashing grease everywhere.) And...it really IS smokeless - you would have never known something was grilling in the kitchen other than the obvious scent of food. That was downright impressive. It also operates fairly quietly, a nice touch. It does come with a manual which is well written and easy to follow - you probably don't really need it, but it's there in case you do. The controls are fairly intuitive so you can figure them out easily. When you are done, it is pretty easy to clean. Since it is on the bigger side, it can be a little challenging to store it when not in use, but it's size is actually a benefit as most grills I have seen like this are small, so it's not ideal for cooking for a whole family. Two thumbs up on this - it's a nice addition to the kitchen and a great alternative for still grilling out without actually doing the "out" part :)

The media could not be loaded. It's thunderstorm season here so definitely not grilling season. I love to grill so I hoped this would be a good substitute. While I don't get the charcoal char and flavor I love so much, this has been great to use. I tried chicken the first time I used it. Legs and thighs, cooked them through then added BBQ sauce. The chicken cooks very well, got nice and crispy on the outside. No terribly hot spots. Very even cooking. It comes with 2 style plates for cooking. I used the solid deep plate because chicken has a lot of grease. Though, there's a drip tray inside the unit to catch any grease that gets through. Also, the drip tray is full of water (you add it) while cooking. I washed everything after unpackaging, set it up, turned it to medium heat and heated it up for about 4 minutes, and added my chicken. I hit the fan button and there was zero smoke. None. They claimed there would be none but I didn't believe it at first. But there's really no smoke. When you're done cooking and are ready to store it, you take off the heating mechanism and metal tray, and store everything, including the cord, inside the unit. Very easy to clean. Grease and food just wipe right off the trays. Solid piece.
