Finally! The Answer! I moved my old (but beloved) very heavy Tempurpedic mattress to my downstairs bedroom. I kept its foundation. upstairs for the newer bed in a box I purchased. Upstairs was just fine, but the bedframe downstairs just could not adequately support that super heavy mattress. The mattress would sink in between the slats. I tried 2 other options and those didn't work any better. My third try is this box spring that just arrived. Honestly, it is PERFECT! Nothing to put together, no slats to wrestle with, etc. Put one half on the frame....slide it over and put the other half on the frame.....flop that super heavy mattress down on top of those.....get on the bed to see if it would work.....and YES! This feels as sturdy as my upstairs setup with the "regulation" Tempurpedic base underneath the Tempurpedic mattress. So glad I bought this....worth every penny!

Although it said 2”, it was actually 1 3/4”. No fault of the anyone just how wood is sold these days. I would have ordered the 2.5 “ instead, knowing this now. Great quality and fit nicely on the queen size bed.

Box springs are very well made. We chose this company since they are made in the US. The only complaint I have is with the shipping company that delivered our box springs. There was a puncture in the box when it arrived and I was hoping that it had not cut into the box spring but unfortunately, it did.
