Wood is very nice and sturdy. My only complaint is the thickness of pad, which I was prepared for from other reviews. I purchased this based off the value and after reading the reviews I was worried about the pad being too thin and uncomfortable. It was easy to assemble and once completed it was sturdy and the pad was more comfortable than I was expecting based off reading the past reviews. I live near the ocean so I purchased the cover to protect it from fog & rain and it fit perfectly. I’m really looking forward to spending time lounging on my new favorite spot in the yard. Easy to assemble. Looks great. Only complaint is the pads are thin so the wood slats can be felt through the seat pad. Better when lying down. Would buy again.

Be careful - it's quite heavy and I recommend that you have a helper when you assemble the chaise. The pad could have been a little thicker but overall, it's a great purchase.

Found this crack in the base right where a person would place their butt. Put it all together then found this. So upset! Wanted this for me for after my surgery so I could Lounge and elevate.
