Not a good pic since it was taken for something else but you get the idea. This blind set was well-packaged with 4-7' sections of uni-strut run along the inside of the long sides of the box to prevent damage. Everything arrived safely in 2 boxes. I ordered the blind to be installed with the motor in front, on the left side with a leftside stack. To mount the motor in front, use the 2nd set of holes on the brackets(4 provided, each with 2-bolt-on sections). When they are in your hand, this will make sense. Instructions are illustrations, few words but the install could not have gone easier, even for someone who doesn't do this kind of stuff well. I HATE anything "wood" related. We don't get along. Plumbing, concrete.....no prob but replacing deck boards causes me angst(lol). This blind set was up in an hour...only b/c I'm so slow and didn't want to damage anything. I mounted the brackets directly above and resting on the casing and bam, snapped the blind rail into place. Well designed wide plate system allows you to actually screw in the screws while holding the bracket! They even provided a separate extension cord getting me to the floor-mounted receptacle! Overall......I ordered this on 12/11 or 12, Afterward, Customer service reached out to confirm and question each part of my order....THANK GOD they did! They saved me from making a mistake AND they even built mine different than what is offered on their listing. They were very accommodating and friendly! it arrived 1 month from my original order date after being fabricated to my specifications, on the other side of the Earth, I'm good with that! Operation "out of the box" is nearly perfect with only the open/close buttons on the remote being backwards. One-Touch open or close. This is some James Bond stuff. When already open with the slats slanted, touching "close" will cause the slats to square up, then the stack will slide till closed then automatically close the slats. Moves quietly and smoothly and the slats don't sway when it's moving!!! Much faster than my wireless window shade b/c it's plug-in and not battery, and it's just as smooth! I really like this blind, the quality of the slats, the operation and even how they designed the install- it was well thought-out and made to be simple. The talented level of PROACTIVE Customer Service added a lot of value as well. FYI- my order was roughly 470 bucks for this blind with the options I selected, not cheap but absolutely worth it! ... show more

I have updated my review and rating ... I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because Graywind delivered my automated vertical blinds without any instructions ... and it took several attempts and a few weeks to communicate with Graywind via Amazon and finally Facebook before they provided relevant documentation to support full installation and programming. Blinds were received without any instructions ... hanging the blinds was easy but programming the motor was impossible without instructions and the Graywind Youtube page did not have any videos that covered the model of motor that is used by these blinds. I made multiple attempts to get a manual or a link to a relevant video tutorial by sending messages via Amazon --- unfortunately the responses were always generic and did not provide instructions for programming the motor with my blinds. Ultimately, I connected with the Graywind message bot on Facebook and finally my pleas for a manual were heard and a PDF of the manual was provided. Once I had the manual I was able to get the blinds connected to the Graywind App and then Alexa within 15 minutes. Now that I can control the blinds I LOVE THEM! The do exactly what they are supposed to do and they look great. The ability to have routines that open and close them in relation to sunrise and sunset is a great feature and the ability to tell Alexa to open/close is helpful too. I have 4 more sliding glass doors that need blinds --- I will be ordering more from Graywind. ... show more

It's hard to find programmable vertical blinds at reasonable price so this may be only choice if you're on budget. Mine costs $417 after coupon. The customer service is excellent, very responsive, and double checked if order is correct. I did make mistake on measurement as one blind broke long time ago and I did not measure at the track. With the customer service, I caught this mistake in time. The item arrived on time, well packed, and delivered by FedEx which took less than a week after the notification. Pros: - Cheapest option I could find - Easy to install - Open/ Close as scheduled - Block light well but I don't get much sun from that door Cons: - Thin fabric, not heavyweight so they move easily if air vent nearby. I have to use plastic vent cover - There was no instruction in the package. Had to find their video on YouTube and contacted customer service how to pair remote with the motor - No way to open/ close manually. Have to either use remote or app (need account) - The included brackets are too long which make big gap between blinds and wall. Customer service directed me to shorter brackets that sold for $5.xx per pair. So extra $12 for those. They should include in the package especially when the motor is on the left because it will be at the front of the rail. - The short brackets are flimsy than the included (white ones) and they are too short! Blinds could not open fully without rubbing wall (see photo). Included hardware is flimsy as well and hard to replace with higher quality because of the hole sizes. - Last the most annoying to me and may damage the set is the application can only open and close, not swivel. So if the blinds close tight and trying to open, they may not open, create clicking noise, and may damage. I have to slightly have the blinds open in angle which annoying to me because I need they close tight when close. The app should add swivel a bit before open or close then swivel again to close tight. ... show more
