It’s a simple, affordable way to help keep dust, pet hair, and other debris from finding their way into your PS5. Cleaner fans mean less buildup, better airflow, and less strain on the system over time. Anything that helps keep expensive electronics running smoothly is worth considering in my book. Installation was incredibly easy. Everything needed is included, and I didn’t need any tools. The filters fit nicely, the silicone plugs are clearly labeled, and the included brush makes routine cleaning simple. I also appreciated the bonus cable management accessories. Between the console, controllers, charging cables, headset cords, and whatever else you’ve got connected, things can get messy fast. Grabbed this kit after noticing how much dust my PS5 was pulling in over the past several months, and it's been a worthwhile upgrade for the price. The mesh covers are precisely cut to fit the intake vents — they snap on cleanly without any sagging or gaps, and the magnetic mounting on the side panels means I can pop them off for cleaning in about ten seconds. The mesh density looks fine enough to catch the bulk of household dust without visibly choking airflow, which matched my expectations given the 92% airflow claim. I ran the console through a few hours of a graphically demanding session and didn't notice any meaningful change in fan ramp behavior compared to before installation. The silicone port plugs are a nice inclusion for the unused USB and HDMI ports, though they're a bit fiddly to seat fully and one of them was slightly loose in its hole. The bonus cable holder and ties feel like throwaway extras — usable, but nothing I'd buy on their own. My main nitpick is that the black mesh looks slightly off against the matte finish of the console up close, but from any normal viewing distance it disappears. I received the Dust Filter Kit, and installed it on my console disc edition. I’ve been gaming daily and running long downloads to test temps and dust buildup. Made for cooling fan intake. The kit uses fine mesh circular filters that sit inside the console's face plates over the fan intake. Pop the white plates off, drop the filters in, plates snap back on. Took 2 minutes total, no tools needed. They’re cut to exact consoles's dimensions so no trimming or overlap. The mesh has a logo in the center but it’s subtle. The biggest reason I wanted this: I’m tired of blowing dust out of my console every month. The fine mesh catches hair, pet fur, and dust before it hits the fan/heatsink. After 4 weeks, when I pulled the plates to check, the filters were gray with dust but the fan blades inside were still clean. It has 92% airflow and I haven’t noticed any thermal throttling or hotter temps. Fan actually seems quieter because it’s not fighting dust buildup. I’m in a room with 2 cats so this is a real test. The kit includes silicone port plugs for HDMI, LAN, USB, power, and disc slot. They fit snug and keep dust out of ports you don’t use daily. Good if your console sits on the floor or in an entertainment center. Also got a 3-slot cable holder + 2 velcro ties. I stuck the holder on my TV stand to keep the controller and charging cables from sliding off. Small add-ons but genuinely useful. Cleaning is easy: pop plates off often, pull filters, rinse under water, air dry 10 min, reinstall. Mesh doesn’t deform after washing. The included small brush tool helps get dust out of the console's vents without opening the console. The console runs the same temps as before in my game sessions, so no cooling penalty. What I like: -Catches dust/hair before it hits fan, 2-min tool-free install, airflow stays strong, port plugs + cable holder are legit bonuses. It adheres to it. Overall, if your console lives on the floor, near pets, or in a dusty room, this kit pays for itself in less cleaning. My real-world experience using these mesh screens on my PS5 turned out to be a massive disappointment, as they ended up having the exact opposite of the desired effect. The installation process uses an adhesive-based design, consisting of a sticky disc in the center and a thin adhesive strip running around the outer edge of the mesh. While the process itself is pretty straightforward, the actual fit on the console was imperfect from the very beginning. The fan housing on the Slim model curves outward slightly, and there is a bracket on one side and wiring on the other that interrupt the smooth surface the adhesive strip needs to bond to. This left noticeable gaps around the edges where dust could easily bypass the filter anyway. More critically, once the mesh was installed, it immediately began to compromise the system's cooling efficiency. During my very first gaming session after putting them on, my PS5 fan started running on high gear noticeably more often than it ever had before, and it did so at a significantly louder volume. Proper thermal management is absolutely crucial for a console, so having a dust filter that actually causes the system to run hotter and work harder is a massive dealbreaker. I ended up removing the screens after only one session to protect my console from overheating. As for the rest of the kit, it is pretty unremarkable and doesn't do much to save the overall value of the product. The silicone port plugs fit snugly in some of the console's openings, but they were loose and easily fell out of others. The cable holder and Velcro ties are decent little additions, but they are completely peripheral to the main purpose of the kit and certainly do not justify the purchase. At the end of the day, a dust filter that compromises the very cooling system it is meant to protect represents a terrible value for the money. Instead of solving a potential dust problem, this kit just created an immediate thermal and noise problem, so I definitely cannot recommend it. ... show more

These guys actually work. They fit my ps5 perfectly and the installation process was quick and painless. Super easy. They come with an instruction manual, and there’s also a couple YouTube videos if you’re not too keen on reading instructions. I’ve noticed that my ps5 is not running as hot, and blowing out as much hot air as it was before these. They’re relatively small, and very lightweight but they appear to be constructed well. They don’t alter the appearance of your device either. Value is great considering the low cost and the great immediate results. Highly recommend this for your PS5. ... show more

Protection for your ps5 with good ideas but not a completely well executed. The set comes with 4 plastic screens to protect your fan vents and multiple rubber plugs for your various open inlets. Installation of the screens was fairly simple and you get an additional set along with a small brush tool. The screens use a two sided tape you install in the center and he outer rim of the screen has adhesive you need to press around the perimeter for a secure seal. They also includes a cable organizer which ch you can adhere to any surface to keep cords organized. Finally you get multiple rubber covers to place over all of the openings for usb, hdmi and power. However this is where the product falls short. The covers a great idea but the fit and design is not good at all and are way to easy to come off. Overall the product could have gotten a much better rating if these covers had a more press fit with higher retaining force. ... show more
