  • Great cleaner so far
I used this product to wash my Burton rain shell after my European trip, and it removed any stains on my jacket. My rain shell felt like new again.

  • No problem washing and getting a very dirty jacket clean.
Strongly recommend.

  • Treat your down right. Stay warm and dry
You should know two things about using this product: it takes over four hours from start to finish to clean a down jacket right, and this is not your usual casual laundry. I own the Patagonia Primo ski jacket. 800 count down, three ply Gore-Tex. I did not want to screw it up. Here in Chicago, a warm waterproof jacket literally keeps me alive while working outside in the winter. I cannot afford (in all meanings of the word) for my winter coat to fail. I did a lot of research before I put it in the wash with this cleaner. I can say it works well; the down is as lofty as new, the Gore-Tex unaffected, and the Durable Water Resistance (DWR) renewed. I took several steps the ensure success, based on advice from the Arcteryx clothing YouTube channel, Patagonia’s site and clothing label, and other sources. First, I ran my washing machine empty, normal wash, hot water, to get all detergent residue out. Regular detergents have enzymes that can damage down; you don’t want it in your coat. I zipped my main zipper closed (always a good thing to do in any case), and closed my pocket zippers halfway, to protect them but yet allow the pockets to get clean. Ditto my pit zips. I loosened all cord locks so the hood and waist were fully relaxed and opened. I set my Velcro cuffs to their widest. I washed the coat with two caps of cleaner, with the machine set for delicates, warm water, gentle spin. When it was completed I ran a rinse/spin cycle, cold water, gentle spin. The jacket was sopping wet when all that was done. I laid it flat on a beach towel, then gently rolled it up like a burrito, without squeezing or wringing, to remove excess water. Then, into the dryer, on low heat, with two tennis balls, as specified by Patagonia. I added a dry beach towel to help absorb the water; this seemed to speed thing up a bit, but I’d like to hear if people think this is a good or bad idea. I checked on it every half hour or so; I turned it inside out to facilitate the drying. It takes about three hours in the dryer to dry completely. Out of the dryer the loft was exceptional, and a little water dribbled on the coat ran right off without being absorbed, proving the DWR was renewed. I’ve taken it out in a moderate rain storm, and it’s still waterproof. I hope these tips help you out. I’m pleased with the results I achieved. Winter is coming. Grangers has helped me get ready for it. ... show more

  • Works Great!
Purchased this for my down, winter coat. Followed the directions exactly and my coat looks good as new! The bottle is small, so if you have to wash multiple items, it probably isn't the best value, but if you're like me and only have to wash one, you will definitely get a few uses out of it. I made sure to give it an extra rinse in the wash to get out all of the soap, put it in the dryer with brand new tennis balls (wrapped in socks, because I worried about color transfer), and a dry towel to help soak up excess moisture. Let it run on low heat for several hours until it was completely dry (I flipped it inside out at some point during the drying process). It came out puffy and perfect! ... show more

  • Wash and Repel feature so so. But fluff up the jackets.
Washed 5 Uniqlo ultra light down jackets with 1 bottle. It doesn't remove the stain. But, the stinky smell was almost gone. If you've got oily skin and hair, the smell might not go away much (my nephew's jacket still has that oily smell). It doesn't give it a fresh smell after wash though. Water repellent performance is so-so. The jackets seem to be fluffed up a little bit after the wash. But, it didn't ruin my family's jackets so that's a plus. Psychologically, I felt the jackets are now clean. PS. I washed them on Delicate cycle (cold water, low spin, and low/normal soil level) one at a time. I dried them in the dryer under Extra Delicate cycle (extra low heat) for 25 minutes, with 2 kid size bath towels, and 4 balls. I let it sit in the dryer after the 1st cycle for 10 minutes. Then I check the jacket to see the progress. Then I kept drying it under Air Dry cycle depends on the dryness of the jacket. It shrunk the 1st jacket a little bit I tried when I ran extra low heat a few more times. ... show more

  • Works great!
I'm an overlander and after a weekend of off-roading my Nemo sleeping bags can start to smell a little funky. For how much money I spent on the sleeping bag I really wanted to make sure that I took proper care of it. Bought this wash specially for the Nemo bags. The smell isn't exactly pleasant while the bag is wet, but once the bag is dry there is no more weird smell, it could be just the smell of wet down. Now my bags smell clean and have the nice original water repellent feature back. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Only use GRANGERS
I defer to Granger’s to wash my athletic and winter gear including down jackets and vests and polyfill ones 2 capfuls depending on what the item is. No fuss. Cleans superbly around collars and wristlets A little goes a long way snd I have maintained all winter clothing in almost new condition with granger’s if only snd most important the DWR is protected. Many thks. ... show more

  • Highly, highly recommend this product!
This product did an amazing job! I was concerned about washing my two down winter jackets in the washer. At first, I was just going to have them dry cleaned but 1. It's bad for the environment 2. It's expensive 3. Not sure I trust a dry cleaner to thoroughly clean my clothing! I used two capfuls of detergent per jacket and washed on a warm, gentle cycle. Then popped into low heat dryer with two tennis balls. My jackets came out like BRAND NEW!!! Highly recommend this product. ... show more
