I usually don't have the time to write reviews, only if a product is really good, or really bad. Grandpa Gus's Mosquito Trap is one of those rare product that actually works and lives up to its description! I was very skeptical about this, or any mosquito product working for my backyard since I live in an area surrounded by farms and rice fields. Bought a pair of these back in March, followed the instructions, and placed them behind bushes against the corner of my fence on each side, roughly 120ft apart. This spring has been hotter than normal, and the skeeters have been off the charts, even getting swarmed in the middle of the day. I'd say within about a week an a half to two weeks, I could sit on my patio during the day, and not get attacked till dusk, then a couple would show up. No where near how bad they were before I set the two traps out. Couldn't believe these actually worked. Month and a half in now and I can sit on my patio any time without getting eaten alive by those blood suckers! I think I've killed only two or so mosquitos on me this past month, whereas before it was 2 a minute. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be buying again in 6 months!

Waste of money and fraud ads. These types of things do not work. I have done extensive research on this for almost a year and this vendor is also making ubsubstantiated claims. May be in FDA violation with many false statments in ads that these are effective. Vendor inports them from China for less that $1.50 each . It's all marketing hype.

The traps do help. The first time I used them, it took a few days before I stopped getting bit by mosquitos, then no mosquito bites for about 3 weeks. I ordered more, and same thing. I really like them, but they don't last as long as advertised. They may still be working, but not as well during that last few days. Also, they are plastic traps with insecticide, way overpriced.

These worked like a champ! They basically cut our mosquito problem down to nothing, defined worth the money! Love that I’m not listening to bugs getting zapped all the time when they catch bugs. 🤣

Well, the advertising hype makes it sound like it will actually deplete the mosquito population in a small area. However, I deployed 4 of these in my small backyard and have experienced NO difference in the number of mosquitoes. Don't waste your money on these. The sellers are just exploiting people's fear of mosquitoes. Folks will grasp at anything that advertisers claim will rid one of the scourge of these awful insects. I have found that nothing works to prevent bites from Ades egypti except bathing in DEET or picaridin.
