  • Good grinder for small batches.
Color: Sliver
Works very well and is easy to clean. Grinds quite fine, though should not be used to grind oily or damp grains/beans.

  • Working great, perfect for low-volume personal bread making.
Color: Sliver
Had this about two months and have gone through a couple of bags of hard red wheat with it. We make a few loaves of sourdough every weekend or so, nothing crazy, and the grain mill has worked great. Very easy to use and maintain. Just make sure you tighten down the attachment screw really well. I'm really happy we bought this! ... show more

  • This works great with my KitchenAid
Color: Sliver
The media could not be loaded. I am pleasantly surprised by this grain mill. It doesn’t have the KitchenAid brand name on it, but it works perfect with my KitchenAid. The grain mills beautifully! I have made a lot of bread from it. You do want to be careful not to mill a lot of grain at the same time as your motor could overheat. But I have done 4 to 5 cups at a time with no problem. I start at a number two and then pour the grain back in to the vessel and run it on a number one which makes it finer. It comes out, smooth and beautiful. ... show more

  • Works too good?
Color: Sliver
Thought I would use this to grind corn for my hens. Was thinking it would be a great and less expensive alternative than buying a whole separate unit. It works, but creates way too much powder for my needs.

  • Make your own flour at home!
Color: Sliver
The Grain Mill Attachment for KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a sturdy, all-metal accessory that grinds fully dried, low-moisture grains like wheat, corn, millet, and cereals with nine adjustable levels for coarse to fine textures. It’s easy to attach, well-built, and perfect for home bakers who occasionally want fresh flour. However, it works slowly, has a small hopper, and can strain the mixer’s motor during large batches. It’s not suitable for oily or moist grains and requires manual cleaning. Overall, it’s a durable and efficient choice for small-batch flour making. ... show more

If i could do 0 I would normally don't write reviews, but I bought this to see if my kids would eat fresh milled grain, not only does it not mill to proper flour, it broke my kitchen aid! So I'm out 500 for my kitchen aid and I dont have a miller. This product needs to be banned, forger money back i lost too much even using this. And it warns to not use more ethanol 45 min at a time, I used barely 5 min, 4 times and boom! Goes the kitchen aid ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Color: Sliver
The media could not be loaded. After seeing videos of fresh milled flour on social media, and learning about all the nutrients lost with store bought flour, and how the process basically kills the flour, I thought hey. I want to try this. I didn't want to immediately spend 100's of dollars on a mill, just to find out it wasn't something I enjoyed. This was on a Prime Day Sale, so I took the jump. It came already assembled. I just had to tighten the screws after I installed it on my kitchenaid. The paper directions that came with the grain mill attachment were innacurate compared to the actual listing. The paper said to put it on speed 10, but the Amazon listing clearly states speed 4-6 so you don't burn out your mixer. You also have to run your wheat berries on a 5-6 which is course. And then mill it a second time on a 2 setting. Mine is still quite coarse after two passes. I tried a third pass, but the attachment would not pull the flour through. It is course enough to destroy the dough gluten strands, so my breads keep falling and are dense. At most I have milled 4 cups of wheat berries. And after running it through the second time. I have to give my mixer a break due to it getting hot. That is why im giving it a 3 star rating. It doesn't mill fine enough, and this attachment moves/wiggles quite a bit. It is also pretty noisy. Video attached is coarse setting (5-6) Picture is grains second pass through at fine setting. ... show more
