Installation is super easy if using for a toddler you only have to remove the newborn inserts the anchors you can weave them to go through the back for front facing or weave it in through the bottom for rear facing. The price is worth it if you’re never gonna buy a car seat anymore since it comes with a booster I recommend getting this for when you transition out of a Baby car seat. I have not one but two new grandsons in the family, one 7 months and one 9. Both are growing like weeds, and we needed at least one more car seat. We already own two of the Graco swivel style so we are familiar with the quality and installation methods of Graco seats. The construction of this seat is pretty unique. It can expand, via both sliding hard parts and addition or removal of various padding sections. It can also transform into a booster seat by removing the backrest entirely. The idea being that you can use this from infant (rear facing) to toddler (rear facing) to child (front facing) to big kid (booster seat). One and done essentially. The seat is very well built, the padding pieces are all well made and easily cleanable. The hard parts are the typical smooth plastic Graco uses and are well constructed. The seat is heavy, but not as heavy as the rotating models we also have (those cannot convert to a booster). Installation manual is thick, well written, and easy to understand. There are also VERY helpful videos on Graco's website if you are at all unsure or confused. Installation with the LATCH anchors is very quick, and I love that they store onboard with attachment points to keep them out of the way when not in use. Leveling the seat is also quick, although it can be a bit hard to push the recline button while the seat is installed in a rear facing direction. I suggest testing it out on the floor of your house first so you know where everything is located. We wound up at setting 2, but some cars might be a 3 depending on the seat angle. Converting the size is also easy, but pay attention to the folding backrest cushion. It is easy to get it folded wrong if you expand it and then shrink it (while playing around with it). Again the videos and manual discuss this. We did not use the seatbelt method of attachment, and if you do, you do have to lift up the seat cushion to access the clamping mechanism. Its not hard, but you would want to practice this before trying to do it in real life. The cushion easily reattaches via hook and loop. Again though in rear facing mode this will require some fiddling around. I prefer the LATCH anchors when possible. We did not find anything we dislike about this seat, and it's been in daily use for about a week now. Easy to adjust, pretty easy to move between vehicles. Five stars.
