I extensively researched the more spendy oven-like air fryers and hated that most seemed to smoke or break down after a year or less. I wanted to improve my cooking health and saw the reviews here and decided this price was acceptable if it broke after a year. I am extremely pleased with the results of this. I used to hate making fish. With this, spice your fish put it in and hit the button for fish. It doesn't matter if it's cod, salmon, or trout. They all come out crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and cooked perfectly! The same is said of chicken, whether a breast or a quarter piece. I just did a roast in this. Again amazed! In 30 minutes, I had a perfectly cooked medium-rare roast. Frozen tater tots, no oil, and cooked in 15 minutes! I love not taking 20 to 30 minutes to heat up the oven, plus the cooking time. Plus it's imperative that you don't turn it on under a cabinet. The outside cover gets so hot ya can't touch it. It takes more time than I expected to cook food. Other than that I am happy with it.

We are loving the fryer so far, but we found 2 tiny metal rings on top of some chicken after it was done cooking. I'm still not sure where the rings came from but I'm hoping it wasn't from the fryer. I've only had it for 2 days so far.

Santa Claus gave me this because I was interested in learning how to make tasty food with much less oil. It sure does that! And how cool is it that it comes in RED?! Food of all sorts just tastes so much better made in the air fryer. I mean yes, you'd expect chicken and fish to be great in it. But it also makes frozen french-fries taste just like your favorite fast food fries, only with just a fraction of the oil. Do yourself a favor and order an oil-sprayer when you order this. Literally just a couple of sprays of olive oil and everything is fantastic. Even green beans. OMG it's a whole new world of veggies. Brussels sprouts? Put them in here with a few sprays of olive oil and some salt. Cook on 350 for 8 minutes, giving the basket a good shake every 2 minutes or so, and your kids WILL eat them. Maybe too many of them! I still had no idea how much this air fryer had changed our lives, though, until something went wrong with mine. Something in the electronic panel went flooie and it wouldn't switch on with the basket in. I contacted the manufacturer and they responded immediately, bending over backwards to figure out the problem. When it turned out not to be something I could fix myself, they just sent me a new one right away. And in the same color as my original, too! But let me tell you, those few days we were without working air fryer sure did let us know how much we missed it - meals just weren't the same! You need one. ... show more
