Huge, huge upgrade. Upgrading from the Govee T1 to the 3-series is a night and day difference, making it a huge performance jump. The colors are significantly richer and brighter, and the accuracy and reaction speed are exceptionally fast compared to the older model, creating an incredibly immersive setup. The camera calibration process could be slightly more efficient, and the auto-off feature can be a bit over sensitive by turning back on with minor room movement, but those minor quirks don't diminish the overall experience. If you are on the fence about upgrading from the T1, the dramatic improvement in lighting quality alone makes this worth every penny!!! Must buy if you are on t1 or t2.

This TV backlight and led kit is absolutely amazing compared to everything else that I have tried. The integration of dreamview with other Govi products completely changes the game when it comes to enjoying video on any television with any app or any station. Very easy to connect and set up. The only trick is to properly calibrate it and I would recommend watching videos and other tutorials to get it exactly dialed in correctly. Very versatile and compatible with everything due to the camera detecting what is on the screen versus having to go through a third party device. Very sturdy and durable as you would expect from this manufacturer. The adhesive on the LED strips is very good. Connectivity is very reliable once set up. I absolutely love this device and it is a good value for the money especially compared to similar devices. I have yet to find a another product that compares and can integrate as easily with the rest of my lighting.

I absolutely love this backlight. It makes movies, shows and games more immersive and adds a unique touch to your home theater or room. The lights are bright and change pretty quickly along with the picture. There is a small lag but it’s hardly noticeable. It does tend to just show blue on sciences that don’t have bright color along the edges, so if that will bother you it might not be worth the investment. We also have a 70 inch tv, so I bought the larger size meant for 75 inch tvs. There’s a small kink that we had to make in order for it to fit our tv, but there is no difference in the quality it provides in those areas.

A bit expensive, but works great om my new 77" Samsung. Fantastic experience when watching sci-fi or action movies. I will say, color sensing of the camera works better in darker rooms versus bright rooms, but overall, I would recommend.

Other than one little issue I'm having, where one corner is showing up red and I'm sure I just have to calibrate it better, I don't have any complaints with this. The colors are very bright and vivid and the app has way more features than I could ever want to use. It's almost overwhelming in fact it is overwhelming. Although that's probably a good thing that should probably be viewed as a feature, considering who doesn't want more control. I'm pretty confident when I say that there's really no other company in this market that I would be interested in supporting. This company is pretty much the cream of the crop and any of the other no-name brands or imported brands that don't have much of a presence stateside, I'm not sure I would ever even consider one of those companies again because they just don't deliver like Gove does. Gove never stops trying to innovate and they never stop putting out products. Yes they are more pricey than anybody else in the space but why shouldn't they be? Nobody else is putting out so many different kinds of products with this many features and an app that has an entire huge community behind it. I mean a huge community. It's almost like its own social media site, the way people put and post updates and pictures of their latest lighting creation or their latest settings. Their remotes don't interfere with other devices the way just about every single other imported company does and I mean that wholeheartedly. I have several products Plus their remotes do not interfere with other products that I already have whereas if I go with an imported no-name company, their remotes will interfere with three other devices that they have nothing in common with. Changing the color on one device will turn off another device or turning on one device will change something else on another device. Everything from water fountains to car LEDs to Christmas lights, ceiling fans, anything that I have that is a remote and is a no-name brand, is impacted and affected by another no-name brand remote. Whereas with Goovi I don't have that problem. I view Goovi kind of like the DJI of lighting. DJI makes the world's best drones and they do it better than anybody. Everybody else is just competing for at best second place and that's kind of the way it is with Goovi. They've left everybody in the dirt, not even in the dust. They've left them all in the dirt

When it works as intended, the biggest strength is the immersive effect. The triple-camera system does a solid job picking up on-screen colors and extending them onto the wall behind the TV, which noticeably improves the viewing experience in darker rooms. The RGBIC strip density is also high enough that transitions feel fairly smooth rather than blocky or segmented. I do believe I got a defective unit as I have a teal color segment that won’t go away. The app is another strong point. Setup is guided, and once calibrated, switching between modes (video, music, ambient scenes) is simple. Voice control and smart integrations are convenient for quick adjustments without needing to open the app every time. However, the experience depends heavily on calibration stability. In my case, I noticed a persistent teal-tinted section on part of the strip that didn’t match the rest of the screen sync. Even after recalibration, the issue would occasionally return, suggesting a mapping or segment interpretation inconsistency rather than a one-time setup error. This can be distracting in darker scenes where uniformity matters. There’s also a noticeable learning curve with positioning and lighting conditions. Camera placement, wall reflections, and room brightness all impact accuracy more than expected. HDR content can sometimes push the system to overcorrect colors, resulting in occasional tone shifts or uneven saturation across sections. Once dialed in, performance is impressive, but it does require some trial and error to get consistent results, and minor glitches like color drift in one section can affect the “premium” feel. Pros: strong immersive lighting effect, high LED density with smooth transitions, easy app control, good smart home integration, solid performance in dark rooms Cons: calibration sensitivity, occasional color inconsistencies (teal/segment drift), affected by room lighting and reflections, HDR content can reduce accuracy Overall: a powerful and visually impressive TV backlight system when properly calibrated, but consistency can vary, and minor segment color issues can prevent it from feeling perfectly uniform in real-world use.

This backlight has transformed my home theater setup into a truly immersive experience. The HDR triple camera does an excellent job syncing the lighting to whatever’s on screen, colors track accurately and respond quickly, so the ambient lighting actually feels like an extension of the content rather than a generic color cycle running in the background. Setup was easy too, no fighting with the app or struggling to get the cameras positioned correctly. Everything came together quickly and just worked. If you’re building out a home theater and want that extra layer of immersion, this is one of those upgrades that genuinely changes the viewing experience rather than just being a gimmick. Highly recommend.
