I bought this along with some parchment paper inserts and a 7" wire rack. I put the paper in, the wire rack on top, and spray the rack with some PAM cooking oil. I've used my fryer over a hundred times so far, and I am still amazed at how good things come out. I got this for my daughter. She loves how well it works and is especially great for making quick meals or snacks. She said that it is nice to have it so she is able to cook things in the oven, on the stove AND the air fryer at the same time to complete a meal. She also said it is easy to clean.

    • Do not get the 5 qt model
Size: 5 Quart
I thought the 5 qt model would work best for cooking for one. Unfortunately this is not the case. The recipe book included with the 5qt model is for a larger size, and ridiculously irrelevant when trying to use the 5 qt. For one thing, you are instructed to use 8 in pans for certain recipes but an 8 inch square pan will not even fit in the basket of the 5 qt. Also, the recipes are huge and require you cook the ingredients in separate batches, which is time consuming and defeats the purpose of an air fryer, in my opinion. When following the included recipes to the letter, results are bland and require lots of extra seasoning. Secondly, no matter what I try, I can't get vegetables to cook thoroughly AND come out crispy on the outside. They end up blackened on the edges and soggy. Third, the operating panel instructions are different for different models. I finally figured out that to disable 'preheat' on the 5qt model, you have to select 'preheat', then select 'turn reminder', then select 'start'. All in all, this unit is a lot more difficult to operate than I had hoped and will take practice, and unfortunately, a lot of wasted groceries before I end up with good results. I'm keeping it for simple stuff like bacon, chicken, and fish-steak was overdone and not very good. But I'm not going to waste my time trying to get 'crispy' roasted potatoes and squash anymore. ... show more
