After receiving this E bike I could immediately tell the quality and durability would be top notch. I have 2 scooters from GoTrax , which I love as well, so I figured I would try the E Bike for longer commutes. A few things I love. First, it was very easy to assemble, instructions were clear and concise. It took me under a hour. Secondly, I appreciate how lightweight and small it folds up. It fits into my car no problem and I can pick it up myself as a 120lb woman. Thirdly, the battery seems to have a long life, making constant charging unnecessary. It has the power to go up hills and through off road terrain as well. Lastly, it’s built with strong materials that seem as if it will last a very long time. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and can’t wait to have many adventures. I would recommend this E Bike as it’s a great value for the quality.

Easy to put together. Easy to store/travel with. Bought this and immediately brought it camping. Sturdy, well constructed bike. Did great on dirt trails. Fast and speedy bike with good power, especially for going up hills. Seat adjusts easily so I can share the bike with my husband.

I got the Gotrax R1 more than week ago and it's been awesome. Assembly was fast and easy. The bike feels really solid on the road and comfortable also. May I add, fast too. It's my dog that can't keep up with me now. I'm short and finding a bike that fits comfortably can be tough. This one is perfect. I like that it has both full throttle and pedal assist so when I feel lazy, I can just ride it like a motorcycle. This is a great ebike.

Just got mine in. Overall, love this bike. I will update this review after a couple weeks of use. Pros: Pedal assist mode is really useful. I love that. I have a throttle as well as an option to have the bike assist me. First, it was kind of hard to use, but once I figured it out, it was really, really simple. Battery life seems to be pretty long, and it came with a full charge. Pedal assist is a great job of carrying me up the hills on my campus. Brakes seem to work great so far. The folding makes it far easier to manage. It comes with all the tools necessary for assembly. Cons: The assembly manual is useless. Google “gotraxs R1 assembly video” And click on the Amazon video for a real instructional video. Only takes about three minutes. The key is on the underside of the bike, which is pretty stupid. But once you turn it to where you need it, you can take the Key out. Although the folding makes it more manageable, it’s still pretty freaking heavy. Lugging it to my third floor apartment was not an option, so I put it in the trunk of my car, a small sedan, and it fit perfectly. Also, there is no suspension so you will feel every bump not a huge problem if you’re on paved roads. The headlight is also very dark, and doesn’t really light your way, But if you’re on a illuminated roadway, it allows other people to see you. Also has tail lights. Overall, loving my initial, look at the bike and feel to it. I will update this later if it has any issues (UPDATE) Hi again! the bike now has about 50 miles of usage in a relatively hilly city, mostly used on the sidewalk. Still love it! I did realize that the bracket holding my screen on was missing a screw, but I got a .20$ screw from Ace and fixed that immediately. The screen has a minor scratch on it that I only noticed under direct sunlight, but it is a nonissue IMO. Charges great. I ride this bike about 5-7 miles a day in a very hilly area, typically using PAS 3 or 4 (occasionally inching into 5) , and usually by the time I return home I have only used ~20% of the battery, which is right on par, or maybe slightly above, what is advertised. I weigh 200lbs plus about 20lbs of gear, in nearly 95F weather, and it has not had any overheating problems whatsoever. Speed is pretty good. Itll sling me at 20mph with no problem, and its only had trouble on one particular hill, which is going up at what I imagine has got to be a 20 or 25 degree angle. Gonna up the maximum speed when I get home today. To avoid lugging that thing all the way to the third floor of my apartment, I've started folding it up, removing the battery, and locking it in the (small) trunk of my car. The bike is very heavy to carry that high, but this works out quite nicely. Overall, still very impressed with the bike. My friend just ordered one because I talk so highly of the thing.

I've been using the Gotrax 20" Folding Electric Bike for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed! The 48V battery gives me plenty of range easily up to 40 miles on a full charge, which is perfect for commuting and running errands. It rides smooth and feels solid on the road. The pedal assist levels are super helpful. I usually keep it on level 3 or 4, and it gives me a nice boost without feeling like I'm not doing anything. When I need more power, the 500W peak motor kicks in nicely and gets me up to 20mph with no problem. One of my favorite things is how it folds up. It’s perfect for saving space at home or when I need to put it in my car. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, and the controls are straightforward. Overall, this bike is reliable, fun to ride, and a great value for the price. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable electric bike for commuting or everyday use.

WOW!! I am TRULY IMPRESSED with this R1 electric bike. We’ve owned 3 GO TRAX scooter and this is a total UPGRADE! assembling took maybe 10-15 min tops by myself. The R1 can be folded and it fits perfectly in my trunk. It’s extremely sturdy and very very well made. It’s so easy to get around town safely and not be stuck in traffic like if I were to be in my car. I feel very stable when driving it. The seat does adjust and it breaks smoothly. With gas being so expensive this is seriously the way to go. It also holds the battery charge pretty well so you can use it long period of time. If you’re thinking of getting an e-bike, THIS IS THE ONE!!! Go trax also has one of the best customer service if any issue shall arise. I tried uploading a couple videos but I get an error message. I wish you can see the specs on the display and how smoothly it runs.

I’ve been riding this 20" folding electric bike for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with how it performs overall. It’s a great option for commuting or running quick errands around town. The fact that it folds is super helpful for me since I live in an apartment and don’t have much space for storage. It fits nicely in the corner without taking up too much room. The battery life is impressive — I can go up to 40 miles using pedal-assist level 1, which is more than enough for a couple days of back-and-forth commuting without having to recharge. I have been looking for a e bike for my daughter for a while, she had asked for her 10th birthday, our neighbor’s daughter had one she tried it on and loved it. She like this particular style that is foldable and smaller in size. We went with the Gotrax brand as we already own a Gotrax e scooter, and it has been great. This bike came with a big box that hubby have to build it, he looked up a YouTube video and put it together rather quickly, he is pretty handy with stuff like his. The bike feels very solid and ride very smoothly, easy to operate, it folds very easily all the adjustment is very easy to operate. It will be pretty easy for my daughter to operate. As a parent safety is most important. We ride around for a bit the brake works great as well. Now I want one for myself. Overall we are very happy with our purchase, definitely trust Gotrax’s product. Hope our baby will love her birthday present! Can’t wait.
