It does take a little time to get used to, however I feel like he mastered the use of it within about 15 minutes. He did need to build up some confidence before going on his own, but he was rolling all over the house on his own in no time. We have wooden floors and the hoverboard glided smoothly on it. The battery is long lasting. It’s durable and sturdy. It can hold a good amount of weight, so it’s great for kids and teens. My husband tried it given he is close to the weight threshold (175 pounds) and it carried him along just as easily as it did my son, it has a pretty powerful motor. It turned with ease, I was able to control the movement swiftly with my feet. I was surprised with the performance, it has some get up and go and it was much easier to use than I expected. The lights are a great addition and it even has a Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is great and a very cool feature.

I recently purchased the Gotrax Glide Hoverboard, and although it is primarily designed for kids, I think it's suitable for adults weighing under 170 lbs, cause my wife is around 130 lbs and she can ride it without any issue. The hoverboard has a maximum speed of around 6mph, which is perfect for cruising around your neighborhood or local park. It also has a maximum range of roughly 2.8 to 3 miles, which depends on the weight capacity. One of the features I really appreciate is the built-in LED lights, which make it easy to see and be seen when riding at night. Additionally, it has a speaker that can connect to your phone via Bluetooth to play your favorite tunes while cruising around. In terms of build quality, I found the Gotrax Glide Hoverboard to be very sturdy and well-made. The motor runs smoothly, and the hoverboard is surprisingly easy to balance on, even for beginners. I bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas, and it has gotten a TON of use over the past 6 weeks! It is very durable and the battery life is great. We have taken it outside with no problems. There seems to be a safety feature that causes beeping that won’t shut off at a certain speed if the rider is under a predetermined weight (not sure what that is) that I wish I could turn off, but that’s the only complaint! I bought this for my 9 year old. The machine was very cool looking and performed well, but after two months we started to have problems turning it off and eventually it started to malfunction completely. My son is very disappointed bacause now he can't use it at all. On top of that I can't contact the manufacturer, mail emails to them bounce back and there is no one who can assit you over the phone.

The media could not be loaded. So far, once they got calibrated, they have worked great and been super easy to use. Almost no learning curve for my ten-year-olds. Decent battery life. They love them. Edited to add (11/24/23): Oh my goodness! These are the absolute most durable little things ever! My girls have been giving them heavy use ever since their birthday last August and they've been nice little workhorses, but now I'm even more impressed. Last week one of my girls left her hoverboard out in the rain. Like, I don't even know how she got it so wet. When we picked it up the water was literally pouring out of it like water from a pitcher. If she had dunked it in a barrel of water I don't think it could have been wetter. I was so sure the poor hoverboard was a goner. But, ever living in hope, we let a fan blow on it for a few days to try and dry it out. Then we charged it up and she turned it on and it started right up, good as new. Seriously, the best value for the money I've had in a really long time!
