I have a Shure wireless handheld mic that I've been using for years for sound at my church. The quality, sound, construction and range have all been amazing. I decided to grab a Shure lapel mic after having cheaper ones that sometimes fail... I will stay with the cheaper ones. The Shure laviler set is very cheap build quality, terrible range and is limiting. I'm considering returning it as it seems a bit overpriced for what you get. The sound quality is good, no complaints there. The on/off switch on top is super tiny and super cheap... It will break off at any given moment. Good! The quality is great, portability is also in line from what you'd expect from Shure, but the only thing was, you can't hear the speaker very well at all when their head is turned. Maybe I could crank the gain, but I didn't want to introduce any risk of feedback or distortion at this seminar. But if that part was possibly on me, then 5 stars. ... show more

    • Easy install and great sound
The pieces feel like they are nicely built. Installation was extremely easy and literally took less than 10 minutes (including sound check) the sound is very good. We added a head worn microphone so looks are great and the pastors voice is very clear. We got rid of our problems with signal drop off when installing this unit because this doesn’t depend on line of sight. ... show more

    • Works well but NO MUTE BUTTON
It's a Shure and it works as you would expect. No unwanted noise or interference. What's a shame is that there is no mute button. You have to actually shut it of and turn it back on. There's a delay in that function. A unit this expensive should have one.

Using this as the primary wireless mic at our church. As one of the mid-priced models out there, was a little skeptical, but trusted the Shure brand and wasn't let donw. Have been using for a month, the quality is excellent. Very effecient on the battery usage, much better than our old unit. Super easy set up. Took out of the box, plugged into the wall, plugged into the sound board, loaded batteries and it was up and running within 5 minutes. Good clear pick up with no distortion. A+ ... show more
