We purchased another brand for our 7 year old for Christmas. It was a hit, and its held up. Well, the neighborhood kids she plays with also loved it so she was sharing so often that she barely got ride time herself. The other brand was sold out so we ended up selecting this one. It is just as great. It's charger recently stopped working so I've been using the other charger for both(I have to order another charger). The only downside I have is that 2 really isn't enough...hahaha. With the amount of 7/8 year olds on my street, we definitely need at least 1 more! The battery lasts better than expected for a relatively inexpensive electric scooter. We have had hoverboards that don't last half of the time these do. Definitely recommend! ... show more

To start, I ordered the pink and black scooter. I received a pink and white scooter, which isn't pictured as an option. Additionally, when I unpackaged it, the scooter looked to already be worn at the hardware connection areas. Finally, the sticky mat was peeling right out of the box. On top of that, the advertisement does not make clear that this does not have handle bar controls. Its controlled by two buttons affixed to the base, in which you must have 1 foot on each for it to go. This was very confusing for my 4 year old to figure out vs just a thumb throttle switch. On the bright side, this has a frame that is built very well and its very quite compared to the comparable Razor brand scooter. Overall, its a solid scooter but I am disappointed in the quality of the details, the color, and the controls. ... show more

OMG! I thought I was buying a toy, but didn't realize I bought a serious piece of machinery! I am so impressed! We have had two of these scooters for about three months - one black, one blue. My daughter's black scooter has worked great with no issues. My son originally had a blue scooter, but it had a problem with power loss after only a week or two of use so that it would shut off shortly after engaging the electric motor. However, we had a great experience with Gotrax Customer Service (thank you, Sidereal!!). They responded promptly, stood by their product and exchanged the broken scooter with a new replacement (this time black because blue was out of stock). My son just rode it with the family on a 3-mile bike ride and had no issues. The kids also enjoy sometimes using bluetooth to listen to music while they ride.
