abunda_amazon_reviews *BUYER BEWARE* If you are buying this product for the plug in feature, don’t even think about WASTING YOUR MONEY! After 2 uses it stopped working, after receiving a new tube and cord, it became obvious that the glue used on the plug-in prongs was not tested for high temperatures and sure enough it FAILED & is INOPERATABLE AGAIN! A few reasons why you can find a better solar oven (if ur thinking you will at least save your $200 on not choosing their “not so Fusion” plug in option) -Feet are terribly unstable and your water/food will pour out into the inner tube, or even worse, out of the tube, causing burns -Hard plastic at the opening of the tube has melted and has become deformed in a matter of months, assuming from the steam that exits when opening. Had high hopes for this attractive solar oven, but its form for function is severely lacking. Mayb one of GoSun’s cheaper options are made better? I've cooked a great many meals in my Sport oven. In AZ, were the sun is abundant, I've rarely gone over an hour to cook anything. I've also cooked 2 meals in less than an hour with the Sport, prep time included. In order to feed additional family members, we've stepped up to the Fusion. I have to say, I am very impressed, it's a bit of an art piece in my opinion. The design is very well thought out, it's easier to clean than the Sport, feeds up to 6 people, can be used at night with battery power or a wall plug and appropriate adapter. It's a win win for us. It's a little slower than the Sport but the results are the same, great food! I waited over 3 months for mine and it was worth the wait, a simply awesome solar cooker. It could use a thermometer as others mention but I had the GoSun Bluetooth thermometer for use with my Sport anyway. I used this (and only this!) to meal prep for the week. I made hard boiled eggs for this week's breakfast and a veggie couscous dinner dish on Sunday. I used the gosun community kitchen page for help with the egg cook time, and improvised the cous cous recipe. Both turned out great! The dinner portions lasted my husband and I through Tuesday. I also have used it to toast my daily morning toast and to make cookies, which turned out surprisingly decent! I was a little bit nervous to try this for the first time, as it does seem more fragile than the gosun go. But, after reading the directions that emphasize proper care of the tube and how to determine cook time (combined with posts on the community kitchen Facebook page), I felt confident enough to try it. So glad that I did! While there are general recipes available online, cook times do seem to vary a lot based on weather conditions and locations. So, my best advice is to improvise and not expect perfection. With that mindset, I've been very pleased. I've decided to try to use only this product to cook with for a few weeks. I think it will be pretty do-able since we have not used any appliances except for the Fusion since Sunday. (Off grid dreams, here we come!) My initial impression is that as long as you take good care of it and follow the directions, it seems that it will last a while. I will try to check back in here later for a durability and regular/long term use update :) If you're on the fence about it, I recommend giving it a try. Gosun customer service is awesome, too! Disclaimer: I have used only the sun to cook not the electrical parts so far!
