What can I say - but this is a bargain like no other! Thick stainless steel magnetic bar that holds your knives with GRIP! I don’t recommend getting any other bar. I got the 10 inch one because I don’t have that many knives. I am an enthusiast in the kitchen who doesn’t believe in having a huge set of knives.. I like keeping it simple. So I bought this product because I got tired of seeing my knives roll around a cabinet drawer. It’s unsafe and eventually your knives get scratched up and ugly. That also promotes damage to the inside of the drawer when it’s sliding back and forth. I figured this was a great solution vs a space-consuming old-school knife block which - by the way, is difficult and time consuming to clean. This is way safer, looks upscale and professional which makes people think you definitely know what you’re doing, and saves space like crazy! I recommend putting this in a space where you can access it easily but won’t get in the way of high movement or traffic. DON’T put this on the inside of a moving cabinet door, the knives can slip off if the surface of the knife is smoother or polished. If you have children, I recommend placing it up high, like eye-level instead of chest level. Overall it’s great! It’s the same material and color as expected, no corrosion. The backing plate came a little dented but you can’t see it so that’s okay with me. I used 3M indoor white double sided tape to stick onto the cabinet so I don’t damage it later in case I want to relocate the strip.
