I recently bought the Gorilla Grip Office Chair Mat for my carpeted home office, and it's been a solid addition to my setup. First off, the size is perfect for my desk area. The 48x36 dimension gives me plenty of space to move my chair around without worrying about hitting the edge of the mat. One of the best things about this mat is how well it grips the carpet. It stays firmly in place without sliding around, which I’ve had issues within the past with other mats. A very sturdy and well made mat. The great thing about this mat is that it ships flat. Not rolled or folded. This makes all the difference in the world in preparing the mat to be ready to use. Others do not do this and is a great hassle to have to lay it in the sun for hours on end to get it ready. There was some question in other reviews about its durability. I for one don’t think this will have workmanship problems.

The product is very much as expected. It is a hard plastic and thick enough that it doesn't flex too much on my 3/4" pile carpet. Only time will tell if it flexes enough to crack eventually. The surface is textured and, because it is hard plastic, it makes some noise when the chair rolls over it, but I don't consider that a problem. The edge is squared off and rough. It would be nice if it had been rounded smooth. I was surprised to find it shipped without a box. I posted the delivery picture. They just slapped a shipping label on it and sent it. Considering it had no protection at all, it did OK. One corner is scraped and has a sharp plastic lip that needs to be trimmed. It has a minor scuff as well. Not bad enough to return. It was delivered by Amazon in one of their vans. Hopefully they don't try this with other shippers. Your experience may be different.

I purchased this to protect a vinyl plank floor. It stays put and my chair glides easily over it. Another thing I like s it's thin so there is no trip hazard with this product. I'm an completely satisified withis this product. There is one problem however and it isn't with the product. Amazon needs to find a way to label these as they are shipped flat with no box. Putting a standard shipping label on one of these takes seconds. Getting it off can easily take an hour or more. I never got the glue completely off. Since the floor is grey tones the residual glue is invisible. If the floor were any tone of brown you see it a mile away. Not good. Just be aware there's work to be done when you get this mat.

I have owned this chair mat for almost 6 months and it is used on half inch pile carpet. I am very happy with it. Chair wheels do not cause it to dimple. It does slowly travel on the carpet, but every week (or so) I simply reposition the pad. It is about as good as a glass chair mat but it is significantly less expensive and easier to get. IT WORKS!! unlike the others I have tried.

Great product for tall or plush carpet. Does not ship in a box which is fine though the first one I had to return because was delivered damaged. The edge was cracked and had a missing piece. Otherwise performs as advertised.
