I've been making action videos for about ten years and this was a sizeable upgrade for me and WELL WORTH the money! Some people might think $400 is a lot of money for such a tiny camera but the capability of this device is amazing. I strap this to my helmet and ride a dirtbike offroad and the video footage looks like I was floating through the air. It is just so flawless. You can produce high-quality footage like the professionals without really much effort at all. I also use it to shoot footage when I ride my mountain bike, go flying, on hiking trips, camping, kayaking, anything you can think of. I get why most people want these cameras to be so small, but personally, I'd love it if they offered the same camera in a "plus-size" that was double the size! This would get you WAY more battery life (which is only about 90 minutes of video) and the screen and controls would be SO much easier to use. I'm a big guy with big hands so sometimes fumbling around on this tiny screen gets old. BUT I do like the fact that with the GoPro 9 they added a screen on the FRONT so you can make sure you're in the frame while shooting selfie videos! That's a feature I have always liked on my old Sony e5000 camera. The ability to see what you're filming while you're out in front of the lens is SUPER helpful! So yeah, if they come out with the GoPro Hero JUMBO 11 I'm down with that. ... show more

Expected branded GoPro products. Battery is some knockoff of the real thing.

Bought this for the wife to take on a trip, but ended up keeping it for myself. With the head strap and selfie stick, I have taken it travelling, biking, and paintballing. Pros - Great Images both photo and video - Stabilization works really well, the video was very smooth while running in paintball - Lots of nice features and options for video and time lapse Cons - Touchscreen is temperamental (Like everyone has said) - It sucks the battery like crazy. On full charge, I only get about 2 or so hours of time lapse photography - HUGE file sizes I've tried dialing it down on the HD, but they are still very large, especially for video. The media could not be loaded. So I I've only had my GoPro Hero 9 for about 1 week. I have however recorded 3 separate mountain bike rides with it. I recorded all 3 rides in 4k and the footage looks amazing! I would highly recommend getting something to cover the GoPro's mic if you're going to be using it and there's going to be wind present. I learned that the hard way. This little clip I threw together is completely unedited, all I did was add music, a title, and cut it down from 5 minutes. The batteries do not last long at all! Highly recommend buying extras! Also, I would buy a micro sd card that's 256gb minimum! When I first got my GoPro It came with a 64gb and it only holds just over 1hr of footage. I just recently upgraded to a 1tb and I can record up to 17 hours now! Also, something I didn't know is that when you import your video to your PC/ Laptop lets say is 25 minutes long, they will be split up into short videos that are 5:19 long which is normal so don't freak out like I did. Anyways, I completely love my GoPro and would recommend it! I will update this review if anything changes! ... show more

    • Great Camera, Poor Case Design
No problems with the GoPro Hero 9 so far. It seems like a great camera. I left a star off because the case is poorly designed. The camera and components are all small items, some with metal and rigid plastic edges, and the case is not compartmentalized. Everything just slides around in there. The netting on the lid is loose, and does not hold items in well. When the case is closed items slide out of the net in to the main compartment of the case. I have to wrap the camera in a cloth to protect the screen and lens. I'm considering getting some foam to create dividers, but at this price, I shouldn't have to do that. ... show more

    • Bundle items a bit deceiving
Disappointed that the bundle contained a second battery that was a different brand. For this price it should have been an authentic GoPro battery. They match in the picture giving the impression they are identical.
