I have 2 batteries directly from GoPro & bought this one from Amazon... and it's the exact same one, same packaging. Charges similarly and holds the same charge. So, I don't know why some people are complaining in their reviews about it dying or not holding a normal charge... perhaps they got bad batteries and should exchange them. OR they don't know to turn off a large number of the GoPro 9 needless features that drain the battery. Also, TURN DOWN THE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS. Mine as it 11%. ... show more

    • Not great value for money.
When recording on 4k 24 the battery will last for about an hour. This battery doesn't come at great value, considering third party options which also work well. If you want name brand though, this battery works well but it's not worth it if you don't use your GoPro frequently or for long trips.

I've learned the hard way after years and years of buying aftermarket lithium batteries that the affordable generics, while working well in fair weather, tend to have horrendous cold weather performance.     • Best GoPro Battery!
I realize you can get higher mAH batteries for the GoPro, but, why risk compatibility issues? These batteries work every time and last a decent length of time. Wish they were a bit cheaper, but, highly recommended.

I bought several of these to make sure I had enough battery life for vacation. They lasted longer than expected, according to reviews. I have four batteries, and they work great.

What can I say about a battery. Can't really judge the longevity because I've only had it a week. These batteries like all others on the market are expensive. Can't do anything about that. The point is, it works like any other lithium battery. Brand is not an issue here.

The battery life on these is pretty bad. I had a GoPro Hero 7 White and the battery lasted close to three (3) hours on that. These batteries last less than half as long. Even with the lowest video quality settings it only improves minimally over higher quality battery life.

Battery life is not bad. Just like it should. When using the max lens it goes super fast. Regular use it'll last up to 45 minutes to an hour. Max lense use 20 to 30 minutes.
