This is a nice little tuner. I paired it with my Xiegu G-106 transceiver, setting the G106 right on top of it. The display is bright and clear. Displays PWR, SWR, L and C, although small it is easy to read. I opt for the unit with internal battery and it last a long time. The tuning is fast and works well. I've tuned my 40m NVIS dipole and vertical for other bands and it just works. Caveat: With the Xiegu G-106 it needs be to set to High (5 watts) on TX power to get the tuner to work. Then after tuning I can leave it on high or set for mid or low power if staying on the same frequency. ... show more

I use this between an FT710 and a ZS6BKW antenna. It has no trouble tuning 80 thru 10 meters, including 60, 30 and 15M. Not the most efficient use of a ZS6 on 60, 30, or 15 but you can get a signal out and keep the rig happy. I have tuned with 100W CW, and 20 W AM/FM. The foldback circuitry of the FT710 keeps the output low until the SWR is lowered to a suitable value. I like the internal battery and the 12 power jack on the back feature. ... show more

    • Fantastic for the price, but how about some instructions??
Style: No Battery
This item's been working well for me. I'm using it to tune up a 40m off-center-fed dipole, and I can tune up all ham bands from 80M CW through 10m (whether I can actually propagate is an entirely different matter, as anyone who understands antenna theory should be able to understand). I have not tried running 6m through it, but it technically isn't rated for that. My only complaint was that I had to DIG for any usable instructions. Wiring it up is easy, but getting it to tune had a bit of a learning curve. Don't expect to set your VFO to a sideband frequency and just have it tune as you talk - you won't be putting enough power out for long enough! Instead, I'll move to a nearby open frequency, switch to AM mode at lowest output power (5w for me) and key down. This will allow the ATU-100 to tune up. Switch back to SSB, set your power level, QSY to the frequency on which you'd like to talk, and you're off to the races! I still can't figure out what the Auto/Manual button on the back, or the Reset/Tune button on the front, do. But the tuner is doing what I was hoping it would do. ... show more

Works great. It tunes both of my vertical antennas fast and accurately. Super easy to use and display is easy to read. I love the fact that it doesn't take up much real estate. I opened it to check soldering quality and it is top notch. I wouldn't run over 100 watts to it and won't tune with more than 25 watts. I suspect it'll last a long time with care. ... show more

I am a HAM and 11-meter enthusiast. This unit was like chocolate Ganash on a really good cake. It works perfectly. I have a 102-steel whip, ball and heavy spring that is mostly resonate on my 3 rd. vehicle a 2006 Toyota Sienna. It is hole mounted on the roof (well it is and old vehicle, let the good times roll). Middle of 27.18500 mhz 1.9 swr to 28.5000 1.9 swr. Channel 40 cb 1.6 swr. I added the matcher and it runs between 1.0 swr and 1.2 swr. Made 3 contacts from Houston, Tx to New York state and Pennsylvania. Receiving radio operators thought I was on a base station and could not believe it was a mobile unit. Very happy and just hope it holds together. Case seems to be made of painted steel, and I would rate it as a prosumer piece of equipment. This model does not come with a direct power cord. Plan on plugging in the included Lithium battery trickle charger for the lithium battery that operates the unit. It is very phlegmatic. No bells, whistles or lights. Just works with a perfectly operational small but clear read out. Tested at 1 watt to 80 watts pep. The radio shop has never seen a mobile antenna matcher and wants one. Hope this helps. Battery has greater than 8 hours life and we’ve had zero problems with the units. Not measuring any noticeable insertion loss or change in noise floor. Worthless junk! Do not waste your $$$. No directions no support. One scan code on the box directs you to a poorly written 1/2 page PDF. I have not gotten it to tune on any antenna. It never clatters. You tube clips do not help. And of course i got it in and when i actually had time to set it up and use it, it was outside the return window. ... show more
