  • Extremely Satisfied With My New Goodman Package Unit !!!
My new HVAC heat pump has been installed for three weeks now. I'm in central Florida. My previous unit was a 3 ton straight cool with heat from auxiliary strips, manufactured in 2001. It actually wasn't running too badly but on hotter days it struggled to cool my 880 sf mobile home. My place was manufactured in 1980 and is insulated quite well. I also replaced all my windows and the sliding glass door with composite frame, dual pane, low-E glazed units. The a/c is effortlessly cooling the unit, though we are currently in the 80's rather than 90's like it's been over the summer. The last 3 nights have been unusually cold, with temps down in the 30's. The first night I had the thermostat set on 74 which was too hot. 68 was a little too cold but set at 70 degrees was just right. The unit seems to be running efficiently, cycling on and off and is not too noisy. My supplier is a good friend who highly recommended the heat pump. I'll come back and update my review after some time goes by and I'm able to compare operating costs. ... show more
