It takes some yellowing out but not all in my hair. It didn't stain but be sure to follow directions. Wet your hair first then towel dry before applying. I did wear gloves just in case. It did not take all the yellowing out in the first or second attempt. I left it on 2 minutes the first time and 5 minutes the second time. I will try in a few weeks again to see if I can eventually get this brassiness out. So far no purple tint in my hair. My hair is fine textured. It lathers well and it leaves hair soft. ... show more

I love this purple shampoo. I was sad to find out that the company not only raised the price, but the bottle went from a very good size to a tiny bottle. I thought they sent me the wrong bottle. I had just ordered it again. Not paying attention to the size. I did notice the price difference had went up. I kept that bottle because I needed it. My hair lady recommended this as a daily purple shampoo since it doesn’t have harsh chemicals or sulfate. So far I like it, it’s decent. I haven’t noticed much of a change or brightness to my blonde hair though. (I only wash my hair twice a week for reference) also I don’t like the smell, it’s not as bad as fanola but it has a chemical-ish smell to it for not being full of chemicals so it surprised me but other then that I’m going to continue to use it and recommend this product as a cleaner alternative then some purple shampoos.
