This is a very sturdy ladder. I’m on the heavier side, so I was concerned about the weight limit, but it works perfectly. It’s got three levels with a handle, so I’m never concerned about safety and I can always reach what I need. Definitely a good buy.

Good Life EN131 for the money is a fine 3 step stepladder. As other reviews have said, it isn’t particularly “sturdy,” mainly because of the support bracket for the fold out steps. It isn’t rigidly attached to the frame with a pivot as some good stepladders but rather use a floating bracket which is not very stiff. As such, the steps wobble a bit when climbing the steps. The top step is fixed so reasonably sturdy. Another nit is that the safety bracket must be pushed down when unfolding the steps ladder or it won’t protect you from the thing collapsing. This is dangerous. The bracket should rather self engage without holding it because it is very easy to not do it. ... show more

I m overweight and my balance is poor, so getting on ladders has always been a bit precarious, but my kitchen ceiling is 10", so using my cabinets requires one. This one was rated for a higher weight and looked solid so I figured I would give it a try, and I was not disappointed. The 3 stair unit has a padded grip that is at a very comfortable height if you are on the first two stairs, which is high enough for me to reach my cabinets, and the treads are very deep, so there is plenty of room to get a good footing. Be careful you set the little piece that keeps it from folding up, though, or stepping on the back edge if a tread could cause the treads to move. Once that is in place the thing is solid as a rock. Give the price and sheer stability of this item, I strongly recommend it to anyone who is uneasy about flimsy ladders. ... show more

Overall it's a good ladder. The steps are wide, it goes up as high as you would need to work on something inside the house. My biggest issue is with the wobbliness and the "latch". Maybe I'm dumb, but the latch that is supposed to connect to the crossbar in order to keep the ladder from folding in on itself is extremely loose. I weigh 170 lbs and the ladder wobbles way too much for my liking. It still works, but I'm weary with it and glad that it doesn't go any higher. ... show more
