My son put it together by himself and he said the only issue were some parts were cheap plastic and weren’t functioning properly. Overall it looks nice but 3 things I don’t like. 1. It’s LOUD like a space heater/fan sound. My friend has one (not this one) but hers doesn’t make noise and gives off heat. 2. When I use the remote to turn it on, my tv turns on. Not sure if it’s the TV or it’s the electrical component in the remote but it’s annoying. Fyi the remote has one button and it’s to turn on and off only and no timer. Lastly- the flames are very small….wish they were bigger and more realistic. UPDATE: the seller reached out to me and is sending me a new insert :)

Easy to assemble and great for small spaces. Does not stick too far out from wall and accommodates a 50” tv. The heat from the electric fireplace gives off a lot of heat.

The bookcase isn’t very easy to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow (mostly pictures, tho. No written material/ descriptions), but if you’re thinking of putting this together by yourself, better get a friend or two or three. This build does not use the common cam bolt and screws system that most furniture-in-a-box use. It’s got it’s own system that consists of little “locks” and pegs. The “locks were at times so tight that my fingers literally bled when trying to close them and at times seemed too loose that I felt that the pieces weren’t going to hold together. I was not able to assemble the bookcase the way the manual instructed to. Thankfuly “there’s more than one way to skin a cat”, or so they say. It took me about 3 hours by myself to put it together. The unit was delivered n 2 shipments. The fireplace arrived first, then the bookcase a few days later. The pieces arrived a little banged up with some dents and scratches here and there. Thankfully most of them were on the back of the unit or inside the cabinets, so other than a little dent on the front above the fireplace, the bookcase looks decent. As for the fireplace, it is just as advertised. It makes a soft humming noise at first after you turn it on, but then it quiets down completely. I haven’t tried the heater mode on it yet as I live in Florida and I got it with the fireplace just for aesthetics. Just being able to turn it on without heat is a really nice feature. The fire is realistic. The little remote control is very simple, but does its job. Overall I am happy with my purchase. The bookcase could’ve been better quality based on the price.

This is a very cheaply made product that is a challenge to put together. The locking mechanism's are totally inadequate and already showing areas of damage right out of the box. Would be virtually impossible to take apart and re-assemble back in the box that it came in as so many pieces. I would not re-order this product. I have had other fireplace stands in the past from Amazon and found them far superior to this product.

The cabinet looks as pictured and gives off a lot of heat (can also run with no heat but just the flames). It took about 2 hours to assemble though. You definitely need to pay close attention to every step. There were a few areas where the holes were close to other pieces so it was difficult to get your hand in the area with the screwdriver. Once it was finished, we were happy though.
