Averaged 4 to 5 mph on my pelican catch power 100. I’m 230lbs and with everything my little kayak weighed about 400 lbs. overall I’m happy with the purchase, it’s faster than my 65lb trolling motor.

Came in well packaged, added oil and fuel and started right up. Consistent starting on the water. Burns very little fuel. I did have to adjust the throttle cable to get a little more out of it. Going to try to find a more aggressive prop. Its a little slower than i thought it would be but has a lot of torque. Wish it had a fuel shut off valve. Slow it has a governor that Max's out at 3.5mph and I have a small pelican bass raider 10ft 140lb boat but does start very easy

    • The ads was a lied.
It said supposively 5hp on the ads when i first bought it, but now the ads said this motor has 3HP. Should i return it thought?

    • Got what I ordered, and it was early.
The media could not be loaded. The Zongshen 5hp outboard arrived early. It was packaged exceptionally well, and undamaged in shipping. I assembled the tiller and mounted on boat. Added oil, upper and lower. Added fuel. Pumped the primer bulb 4 times, and it started on the second pull, and seemed to run perfectly. I will start the break-in tomorrow on the lake.
