I cannot speak for the quality of the item, everyone has defects. I can speak to the provider though. When the charger arrived it had obviously been returned before. The box was torn where the flaps are secured and only one of the two power cords was bagged and secured with a twist tie. I can only assume that the charger was re-shipped and not checked from the prior return. The batteries in my cart are brand new and were at appx half charge. The unit indicated it was charging but the output current was at zero and remained there for 72 hours. I checked the fuse and the connection, both were good. I purchased another charger from a different supplier and it worked right out of the box, as it should, fully charging my cart in a matter of hours. I would not recommend any vendor that would re-ship a return without checking the unit. I did put a paper saying the unit was defective and should not be re-sold inside the box. ... show more

My last battery charger bit the dust so I had to find a replacement with an Anderson plug. Very pleased I found this one. It’s third the size and weight which makes it so much easier to use. Also a lot more quiet. Think the price is very reasonable. Second hand ones on marketplace were twice as much. A new one at the local golf cart shop was $450. I probably can use this too if I upgrade to another cart. Win-Win ... show more

Faster charging. Short charge cable. Because the cable is so short, you have to set the charger on the seat to charge the golf cart. I may just mount the charger to the golf cart and get a longer AC power cord.

It was surprising to me to find out that our golf cart had 8 amp batteries, but I figured out that this would work. Will you let it sit for too long and lost the charge on the battery. This was easy to use and let us know that we had a couple of dead cells that wouldn't charge anymore. I am not an expert by any means and this was simple enough that even I can use it! ... show more
