Kept Me Warm in Freezing Connecticut Weather!

I recently ordered this Women’s Waterproof Long Down Jacket for a trip up north to Connecticut, where temperatures were between 5 and 14 degrees with wind chill — and it was snowing. I’m happy to say this coat absolutely delivered. Even in those freezing conditions, it kept me very warm and dry. I paired it with a scarf, and together they handled the wind and cold beautifully. We spent a considerable amount of time outside playing in the snow, and I never felt uncomfortable or underdressed for the weather. The coat has thoughtful details that I really appreciate. There’s an inside lapel pocket (which I love), and the exterior pockets are deep and close securely, so I felt confident keeping my phone and other items inside. The hood is fantastic — it has a drawstring, which allowed me to pull it snug around my face when the wind was blowing hard. The fur lining around the hood gives it a very attractive, stylish look. Although the label says it is polyester-filled and not feather down, it is still extremely warm. The interior has a soft, furry lining that adds both warmth and comfort. It feels cozy without being overly bulky. Sizing tip: I normally wear a size Large (12), but knowing I would be layering (a thin camisole, long-sleeve t-shirt, and light sweater/cardigan), I ordered an XXL — and it fit just right. I do believe this coat runs a bit small. I would recommend sizing up at least one size, and possibly two if you are layering or are heavy-chested like I am. I’m very glad I sized up twice, because one size up would have been too snug with layers. Overall, this is a very attractive, warm, and practical winter coat. I highly recommend it and would absolutely purchase it again if needed.

Love this coat that's Warm and Attractive

I can't say enough good things about his jacket I got for myself for my birthday. The color is a nice sage green on the side of light blue but pretty close to the description photo. I love the furry detailing around the hood. It's very cozy. But the hood is really large. I guess that would come in really handy if you were stranded in a snowstorm you could hunker down with the hood snugged in over most of your face. Lol. Although I read that it's not rated for skiing/snowboarding due to not having some kind of wind prevention thing, it's warm enough for me in below freezing temps before my car warms up or out walking. It seems to be quite well insulated. The coldest I've tested it at so far was 17* Fahrenheit and I get chilled very easily with zero body fat. I suspect I would feel comfortable outdoors in this coat at least down to 0*. The coat has good deep pockets and although not shown or advertised on this particular jacket, it even has a hidden pocket on the inside of the breast which is a nice feature. I'm 5'7" 116-120 depending on the day, and it fits me comfortably. Not too tight, not too loose. The length hits me about 6" below my hip flexors. The sleeves are exactly right for my arms and I love the snug cuffs that keep the cold out and can cover the tops of my gloves. Not sure what it has a dual zipper for pulling up or down, but the zipper seems of good quality - sturdy and works well. The pockets also zip shut so you don't lose whatever you put in them. They are also nice and deep. I like the slightly tapered waist area that enhances a girl's figure. I've only had it for less than a month and have worn it several times, but I'm really happy with this coat and expect it to keep me warm for many winters to come. Great value in my opinion - so far.

Excellent Buy for this Winter!

I absolutely love this jacket. I needed a more casual long coat for when I take my dogs for walks in the Winter. It’s cozy and well-made. I’m normally a Small but I knew I would be wearing a sweater under it so I ordered a Medium. It’s still a little more snug than I wanted so I would order again, I’d order a Large. It’s not too snug to make me want to return it so I’ll be keeping it. It is fitted so if you don’t want snug, you may want to size up once or twice, depending on how you’re layering. The color and fabrics are really nice. It’s lightweight but still very warm. The zippers are smooth. This is an all around GREAT coat for $45!

great winter coat for northeast winters

i love this coat. it's the first long puffer coat i've ever owned. with this past winter (2025-2026), I had to break down and buy an actual winter coat. up til then, i'd gotten away just fine with a hoodie for years. i love that the hood is removeable. that was a must for me. i like also that i can remove just the fur lining of the hood if want also. it has tightening straps on the hood too, for when you really want to bundle up the neck/face. love the pockets on the outside and inside, the length too. the fur lining inside the jacket is nice and soft and warm - especially on windy days. it's an overall great coat.

My second choice, very pretty but snaps would be nice

I bought 4 puffer coats on amazon so I guess I will review them all. All were around the same price (on sale) $35-45. They all also have large hoods that actually stay on! Tldr GoldLadies zipper and button - don't buy, bad zipper ****GoldLadies zipper only - softest fur, good\smooth zipper but no buttons Wiepux - warm but very picky fabric in pockets and zipper sticks and is crunchy sounding BINCAL - great coat\feels quality but not the softest fur and no inside fur (more outside testing needed) Detailed Review My first purchas was GoldLadies but the zipper was really bad. I either struggled to zip it or couldnt at all. So then I bought two more becaues now I was worried about zippers. The second two I bought were - another GoldLadies (zip only) and Wiepux. I actually liked the second Goldladies coat, it had the softest fur trim and lining out of all 4 coats. The zipper was great but the only issue was that its zipper only, no button system. I worried it would become useless if the zipper ever did breaks. The other issue is it arrived with a small hole in the hood but the color was a pretty blue and it just felt so good on. The WIEPUX coat was OK. It was warm and had soft fur (just not quite as soft as goldladies). I was always able to zip it but as you can see from the video the zipper sticks and it's kind of crunchy sounding, of course it's harder with one hand. The worst part was the fabric used in the pockets; it was so picky, I really hated it. Side note: this coat came in a great zip bag that can be used to store it in the off season, which I really appreciate. Since none were perfect, I bought one more coat. This one had the most reviews and was the most expensive - the BINCAL. I did ge on sale for aroun $46 but is normally $99. As soon as I put it on, I could tell this was the one. It has a great zipper. Even just the cuffs around the wrist feel really nice. I like that the pockets have a magnetic button instead of a zipper or nothing. The pockets are deep enough for a large phone. I have yet to wear this one outside so I may need to update this review. This is the only one that doesn't have a fur lined inside so it may not be as warm as the others actually. Its the same material inside as it is out. So that could be a negative, we'll see. The only other negative for this one is the hood fur lining. Its really not as soft as any of the other three but thats not a huge deal. This one will come with less wrinkles since they dont vaccum seal it. It actually comes in a nice box. One final note about all coats, the first one I bought was a large, I assumed you would want to leave room for heavy sweatshirts but actually ended up being too large so this the next three that I bought were all mediums an out great, size wise. I normally wear med or large. I'm 160 lb 5'6". I normally like baggier things but since these are puffy I just think med is better, for me.

Just received this coat today and I have to say it really is made well not one complaint there, I feel this coat will keep me warm. The price was amazingly cheap for the quality on sale, the zippers being able to unzipper from the bottom or the top I liked that feature. Also, the cuffs on the sleeves will keep the cold air out. I like that you can remove the hat that was one of the reasons I bought this coat, it's nice to be able to put it back on if I need it. The faux fur is very soft which can be removed as well separate from the hat. There is an inside pocket another nice feature, and I love the color gray true to the picture. The only issue I have is it a little too big for me, but I'll keep it for walking in the cold weather. I weigh around 140-145 and I'm 5'7, bust is 34-36 G or H and that is where it's really too big about 4-5 inches to big, and the bottom part to but not as bad. I'm normally a Medium but reading all the review thought maybe I should size up, nope should have gotten the Medium. I did order another one just today after seeing how well this coat is made got the size medium in black, I really like this coat that much and I'm sure it will fit perfectly. I will give this coat a 5-star because it truly is made it well and being too big was my fault.

4’10” 140 lbs. ordered Medium per size chart. WOW! Great fit & will be perfect for trip to Europe this winter. Pockets - 2 zippered exterior & one large inner pocket at chest. Main zipper is 2-way. Thicker than expected, expect it will repel the cold & rain well. Zips up to cover neck. Hood & fur trim are both detachable. Sleeves have ribbed hem. Easily takes care of sleeve being a bit long. Good buy for the price. Yes, I recommend.
