First off, I always check the sizing chart for each item because I can be hard to fit. Despite the measurements looking just fine for my regular size Large, I ordered up a size because, well, one never knows and I wear bulky sweaters in the winter. I am SO glad I made that decision because the bigger size is a perfect fit! The coat appears to be well-made. The zippers work smoothly and the snaps are easy to snap up and unsnap without being TOO easy so that they just pop open randomly. The lining is nice and cozy... love the lining! I really love that it zips and then has the flap that goes over the zipper that snaps closed. The hood also has velcro at the neck so your neck is protected and warm. I love that about this coat -- my other winter coats don't have this feature. The hood is generously-sized and can be cinched down using the elastic cords. The zippered side pockets aren't terribly big -- they're about medium sized -- so you can tote a few essentials in them. There is a chest pocket and inner pocket too... so there IS storage. And finally, the wrists have velcro adjustments so you can cinch those in to keep warm and help keep snow out. I am REALLY going to use this coat a LOT this winter, as it provides all of the features I'd like in a winter coat, especially for those really cold windy (and potentially snowy!) days. Once November hits, rain will be coming down in buckets and the winds will start to blow so I will use this coat to keep me warm and dry. Yes, it IS waterproof -- I tested it and it repels water. Hooray! And the clincher is that it really looks great on me... I don't look like the Michelin man. The way the coat is structured, it actually helps you retain some semblance of shape. The description for this product is that it is a "puffer jacket". It is not. A puffer jacket is a warm and lightweight jacket with sections separated by quilted stitching and filled with down or synthetic fibers. This jacket has no quilting. It is a smooth waterproof hip length jacket in a faded navy-blue color (lighter color than pictured) with a barely visible 1-inch Camel and Company name embroidered on the upper right side. The left side has a chest pocket with a black rubbery design around the zipper to minimize water seepage. The pocket is about 5 inches long and 3.5 inches deep. The side pockets are deeper. I wish they had the soft, furry lining that the jacket has to help keep my hands warm. Adjustable cuffs on the sleeves with Velcro closures are good. The zippers match the jacket perfectly and work well. The inside pocket on the upper left is about 5 inches by 5 inches. The black lining inside the coat and hood is soft and luxurious. It's nice that the collar snaps to cover the neck. The hood has Velcro to close around the neck. The hood was opened all the way when received. To make it fit better, there are drawstrings on each side. The ends of each cord or attached inside the coat so you don't accidentally pull an end into the coat which would require some effort to retrieve, Unfortunately, one of these attached cords broke off when I was trying to tighten the hood for the first time (see photo). The care tag on the jacket has no written care instructions, only symbols. Overall, it's a nice jacket and will meet my needs when it isn't too cold. Positives: Wind- and rainproof Fleece lined Detachable hood Inner pocket Hook-and-loop cuffs Negatives: Nylon Zippers Logo Thoughts: I liked the fleece lining of this coat. It was soft and pleasant to the touch. The cotton-filled inner lining isn't too bulky, and the coat zipped up easily and was warm. There are a lot of pockets on this coat: one on each side, one on the left chest, and an inner pocket that I find convenient to carry my phone in. All of them are zippered, which makes me feel like I'm less likely to lose something in them. I'm not usually fond of the hooded look, so it's good I can remove it but still use it when it's needed. The stitching is tight on this coat, and there wasn't any loose threading. Water was repelled quickly from the outer material. The hook-and-loop cuffs may not be the most fashionable, but they do help keep out the cold and wind. I prefer them over a banded cuff. The size I needed was bordering on large and extra large, according to the size chart. I chose the large because I didn't want a loose fit. The coat fit snugly, as I expected, so I think the sizing chart is accurate. Nylon zippers aren't my first choice. Even though they are lighter and can perform well, they are less durable than metal zippers. Perhaps cotton is not the warmest fill material for a winter coat, but it is lightweight and should be fine in this style of coat. I'm not much on branding, and there is a small Golden Camel name and logo sewn into the right chest of the coat. This isn't particularly noticeable, as it is the same color. A minor issue for me. This versatile jacket is light enough to wear anywhere, warm, rainproof, and windproof. I like it and intend to wear it as an everyday coat. This jacket is great! It fits exactly as expected. It has a detachable hood, which is a definite plus. It is so soft and warm inside too. The length is great, it's not too short and fits past the waist. It is so comfortable!
