  • Simple and reliable!
I bought this for astrophotography while I used my star tracker. I loved that it was wireless so I didn’t have to worry about shaking my camera and the connection has been great. Easy to set up and the compatibility works great with most cameras (just make sure to you select which camera have for the right cable). While it might not be the cheapest option it’s a great value for money. ... show more

  • How to use for astrophotography
Probably one of the best intervalometer on the market. But the YouTube videos and manual are vague at best. So I put together a short description of what the settings mean. This assumes a "bulb" mode shutter setting on your camera. Delay Initial wait until 1st shot in first set (we usually only have one setup). Long B-Mode length. In other words, how long of an exposure for each shot. I usually set this to 1 or 2 minutes. INTLV1 Delay before next shot. On longer exposures, allow about 5 to 10 seconds between each shot to allow the camera to cool down. INTLV2 Number of shots in set. You can set this high (100 or 200) and stop the session by hitting the Play button. INTVL1N Delay before start of next set If you want to repeat the entire set of exposures again, then this is the pause time between sets. INTVL2N Number of sets. I keep this at 1. When ready, press the Play button on the control. Press again if you want to stop the set before it reaches the INTVL2 or INTVL2N limit. For astrophotography, set your camera to full manual, including the focus, set shutter to "B" or bulb mode. ISO as needed, but often 1600 or higher. Aperture fully open or close to it. This assumes you are using a tracker and tripod. If just a tripod, limit the shutter (Long) to the "500" rule. For instance, if you have a 20mm lens, the 500/20 = 25, or 25 seconds (in which case you should drop that to 20 seconds to be safe). Good luck. ... show more

  • Perfect!
I had a remote release from a cheaper company, but I constantly had issues with it and sometimes it wouldn't register the trigger. I previously purchased a Godox flash that took my photography to a new level, so I decided to give this product a chance. I'm so happy with this purchase. The remote works every single time without delay, so I never miss a shot. ... show more

  • Trash
The timer resets itself now and will continue taking pictures till infinity. If you set 500 pictures and come back to it in the morning your time lapse will be over 2000 frames. Basically if you set the number of frames it will ignore it. It used to stop once the number reached zero. Nope not any more. It will just keep on going until your memory card is full. ... show more

  • A Must-Have for any Astro/Time-Lapse Photographer!
This is my first Godox product and based on the various reviews I've come across I was really on the fence about where to set my expectations. Turns out I shouldn't have worried at all. This thing is absolutely wonderful. Construction doesn't feel 'plastic' (although it is), it feels quite solid and well-designed. Button presses feel good and provide feedback, they're placed well and provide easy access in the dark (astro-guy here) without fear of hitting the wrong one. The instruction manual was 'good', but I had to hit up YouTube for clarification on a couple of minor, fringe-case use issues, once I watched the video I realized I was making things more difficult than they actually were. Solid, well-done product that's impressed me enough to give more of Godox' product lineup a shot. Used on Sony A7R&S II models. ... show more

  • Remote a6000 series
I recently ordered one of these and I had it the next day. Thankfully it was quick shipping because I needed it for a meteor shower I was shooting the following day. Very easy to use especially because if you search the model name on YouTube they’re a short 3.5 minute video telling you how to operate it that’s quick and easy. I took continuous photos for six hours that night and it worked great. Definitely recommended. ... show more
