  • Excellent power, consistency, and versatility — ideal for studio or outdoor use
Size: AD600BMII
The Godox AD600BMII (2025 version) is an impressive strobe for both on-location and studio photography. The power output is consistent, and the flash recycles fast even at high settings. I love that it uses the Bowens mount — it’s compatible with all my softboxes and reflectors. The build quality feels solid, and battery life is great for long sessions. It produces beautiful, even light, and pairs easily with the Godox trigger system. For the price, this is one of the best portable strobes available right now. ... show more

  • Buyer Beware, Case Not Included
Size: AD600BMII
Excellent Product with a Few Caveats This flash performs exactly as it should. While it doesn’t offer TTL, that’s not a dealbreaker for me—most photographers don’t rely on TTL with off-camera flashes anyway. The main reason this unit first caught my attention was the price point. It’s significantly less expensive than other 600W flash kits, likely due to the lack of TTL. That tradeoff is well worth it in my opinion. One thing I usually dislike about flashes is navigating their menus, but I was pleasantly surprised here. The menu system is well-organized with a clear, color display, making it easy to read in both high- and low-light environments. My only real disappointment is that the kit does not come with a carrying case. The product description didn’t state whether one was included, so I assumed it would be—especially since competitors like Westcott include a quality case with their FJ400 and 600 at a similar price point. It feels cheap on Godox’s part to exclude one. Ironically, I ended up purchasing a separate Godox case just to transport the light kit. Overall, this is an excellent product for the price, but be prepared to budget for a case if portability is important to you. ... show more

  • If your thinking about it do it!
Size: AD400Pro
This is like my favorite thing in the world great flash very versatile. I don’t love the battery life. It could be longer for how big it is, but what do I know? The batteries are expensive but worth it for the quality durability because I have dropped it a few times But overall this is my favorite thing and I do plan on adding and this is after a year of owning it, so if you’re thinking about it, do it ... show more

  • BATTERIES SUCK!!!
Size: AD400Pro
COLOSSALLY UNHAPPY that I have to continually reset the battery. This would be a stellar product if it weren't for that issue. When you have a full-day shoot and a backup battery that you ALSO have to continually reset, it's an issue!!! DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE LONGER THAN THREE HOURS OF SHOOTS.

  • This thing is PERFECT for smartphone pictures in dark nightclubs without using flash
Size: AD400Pro
This thing is PERFECT for smartphone pictures in dark nightclubs without using flash. Just turn it on, hold it out over one shoulder and move it closer/farther or use the brightness knob to get just the right amount of fill light, but you'll still see the environment behind your subjects. Very nice pictures that way. Totally worth it for these kind of shots, and I haven't even tried it with my "real" camera yet! In my club uses, the lowest brightness was fine, but for a full-length shot of a couple, I did have to crank it up a little bit. Don't recall if I hit the max or not. Try it, you'll like it. ... show more
