The media could not be loaded. As a professional commercial photographer I'm always looking for the latest tech and Equipment that'll work synergistically with my Canon cameras namely the 5D Mark III along with my vision when I am shooting! I've tried a lot of different strobes and equipment in this lifetime and I've recently heard a lot of great things about Neewer! Therefore, based on what I've been hearing I decided to go for it and I've added on a couple of Neewer Q6 600 Watt Outdoor Strobe Flashes, a couple of Neewer NT-Q6 Dummy Batteries and the Neewer QZ-C TTL Wireless Flash Transmitter! You will see my review of the NT-Q6 Dummy Batteries as well as the Neewer QZ-C Wireless Flash Transmitters on a Separate Review! Spoiler alert...Both of those products are Fantastic!! However I would like to focus on the Q6 600 Watt Outdoor Strobe for this review! So without further Ado let's get on with it! First of all I wanted to point out that the q6 comes very well packaged! It comes with a soft exterior hard case that is very durable and keeps the Q6 very well protected! The case also has a very convenient shoulder strap which makes it very easy to transport the Q6 around! The zipper on the case is very durable and smooth as well! I have to say that I was very impressed already just by the way the product was packaged! I always say if a manufacturer is going to put that much attention to detail in the packaging then you know the attention to detail usually transfers over to the product as well! Once you open up the case you will find the Q6 nicely embedded in the thick durable preformed Slot of the case along with a rechargeable battery, the strobe bulb, the AC power cord to charge the battery and the mounting bracket for your light stand! Everything in the Box including the q6 seems to be very well constructed and very well made! I am also very impressed by the mounting bracket itself as it is definitely one of the more beefier and sturdy brackets that I found! As you can see in my attached video and pictures you will notice how durable and well this product is made! Before I actually begin my review of the q6 itself I wanted to point out that the reason why I purchased this unit was because I needed a versatile strobe which I can use indoors as well as Outdoors with ease! I found that a lot of other strobes on the market are either great for a studio but not so great in terms of transportability especially when shooting at remote locations! However when I found the q6 it definitely checked off all the boxes in terms of being a great indoor Studio strobe as well as a super portable outdoor strobe thanks to the rechargeable battery! As you will notice in my attached photos I used the NT-Q6 Dummy Battery to power the product as I do primarily shoot indoors whether it be in my studio or on location! I also used the QZ-C TTL Wireless Transmitter which worked with my Canon 5D Mark III right out of the box! In terms of the q6 strobe itself I have to say it's probably one of the most innovative and robust products that I've seen in terms of a strobe in the past decade! This strobe truly integrates seamlessly with the NT-Q6 dummy battery and the QZ-C wireless transmitter making my life as a photographer so much easier! There have been so many issues in the past with other strobe manufacturers where their products didn't quite integrate the way you would expect! This product integrates and functions perfectly!! First of all let's take a look at the actual build quality of the Q6! The Q6 has a very nice plastic exterior chassis, an aluminum alloy interior chassis along with a metal top handle and obviously a metal Bowens Mount which works perfectly with the 90 Centimeter Octagonal Quick Release Softbox! This strobe in particular definitely has a very Beautiful Aesthetic and Modern Look about it! On the back of the unit you will find the main screen, a secondary screen, a group / Channel button, a wireless S1/ S2 button, a modeling light switch, a menu button, a high-speed sync switch, and a power switch! There is also a mode button, a settings button, a super handy adjustment dial which is similar to the dial on the back of my Canon 5D Mark III and a trigger button! That's pretty much it in terms of user buttons and functions which you would need in order to operate this strobe manually! I found that everything is very well laid out and super easy to use! Upon using this flash along with the NT-Q6 Dummy Battery and the QZ-C TTL Wireless Transmitter, I can only say that shooting was Flawless and effortless! I was able to control the flash directly from the wireless transmitter thereby adjusting exposure compensation, lighting power, Channel selection, Grouping, etc! Also this flash responds very well to Rapid Fire and had now issues of recycling during my review! I was also very impressed by the quality of light between each shot! I know it's some flashes in the past there may be variable lighting issues between shots causing anomalies in the exposure! However with this flash I was able to consistently cute pictures with almost identical shots of Light which is important to me! I have to say as a first time Neewer Studio Flash user I was very impressed by the entire package! Also I appreciate the fact that this product is light enough where I can take it out into the field and create studio quality pics obviously with the included battery! In addition, I like how all of the accessories such as the dummy battery as well as the actual lithium battery fits perfectly into the unit! Also the detachable reflector fits perfectly into the Bowens mount as well! There were no issues of any parts or pieces rattling or awkwardly fitting like I've seen on some other strobe units! I found that the attention to detail in terms of the manufacturer the product as well as the performance of the product is truly second to none! Therefore I found this to be one of the best options for those photographers that are not only working in a studio for working Outdoors as well and need something which can handle both! Therefore based on my review I truly consider the Neewer Q6 to be the Holy Grail of Strobes! With that being said I am definitely rating this product five stars and highly recommended to any and every photographer regardless of experience! This product will change your life and outlook as a photographer! It works synergistically and effortlessly with my Canon 5D Mark III and truly makes me enjoy being a photographer again! This is a Five Star Product in my book! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great value. Decently powerful strobe. The only real issue is that they don’t support high speed sync. Also, you can’t use a Godox/ Flashpoint trigger, only the included one.

love the compact style and the trigger works great as well. The only issue to be aware of is the say it works with Godox flashes. Well most flashes that have a slave mode will work with any other flash but does not communicate with the trigger for adjusting settings. A bit of a stretch on there part.

Basically studio quality but portable. But that also means it’s heavy. So you may want something to anchor/weigh it down if you’re doing photoshoots outside. The battery has a long life and the flash is pretty powerful even against the sun.

Great lights! I bought two. I like how it has a Bowens mount. I can use it with the soft boxes that I already had. It came with a battery and the charging cable for the battery. I wasn't very pleased when I read the manual and found out that the battery will only last for 300 charges. A new battery cost $142. I went and bought the dummy battery for $50 so that I could use this in studio and not have to worry about wearing out the battery. I show a picture of the dummy battery next to the real battery in my hand. In my pictures I show the Qpro-c trigger. The trigger did not come with the strobe. I had to buy it separately. I bought these lights for two reasons. My old strobes were not HSS capable and they didn't have batteries so I couldn't take them places where I couldn't plug them in. I've tested the HSS with the q pro trigger on my Canon R6 camera and it seems to work really good. I bought two of these Q4 strobes and was using one of them to light the backdrop. I noticed that sometimes the backdrop was not lit. I'm not sure why. There will be more testing and hopefully an update. I was not happy when I found out that the bolt/knob that Tightens the handle to a light stand was not long enough to tighten it down to a peg style light stand (See the pictures). I ordered longer knobs on Amazon. For $7 I got five of them. The new knob needs to be M5 thread and the bolt needs to be 30 mm long. The one that comes with it only has 20mm of thread. The unit with the battery, light bulb, the reflector, the cover and the handle weighs 2,534 g (5.586 lbs). That's everything that it came with in the box except for the charging cable and the storage box itself. I don't understand why this strobe kit got paired with another charging cable for the battery. Now I have two charging cables not sure what I'll do with the other one. The reason I bought it with the extra charge cable is because it was cheaper than buying the strobe kit by itself. Strobe cost was $279.99+$20.30 taxes=$300.29

I had a defective unit, so this is an updated review. Customer support actually reached out to me and went above and beyond to make the situation right! Thank you 1000x! I have the new flash and ran it through its paces. Heres my takeaway. Portability is amazing! the case and ease to take it is great. Everything has its slot in the bag and its nice and tucked away. The flash itself synced right away, flash works exactly as it should. For the price and size this is exactly what I needed. Con: The only con I would say so far is the balancing on a standard tripod. With it being a rectangle box, and a softbox, it tends to really throw the weight forward. Almost to the point I get nervous of it tipping over. Its not the end of the world, but something I keep in mind whenever I use it. If this were outdoors and there was wind. If you have it higher up, theres a good chance it would tip due to the center of gravity.
