I was nervous about spending the money on a leg press that wasn’t good quality or ineffective but this sucker is awesome. Very space saving in my home gym compared to other leg presses. This leg press machine is a work out changer. I had this machine loaded and it worked well and smooth. My only complaint is I wish either the tubes were a tad shorter or the back support was a little higher(I put 2x4’s under the back pad to achieve this.) The reason is so you can get deeper in to the leg press. For reference I am 5’10. With the added height of the pad I am able to bring my knees to my sides during the press. We are older. My husband of 30 years has maintained a home gym in the largest room of any house we’ve ever lived in. Our adult kids were raised with his excellent example of striving for health. I am handicapped, but I do what I can. He decided that some of my weak muscles would be helped by this machine. And, wink wink, he gets to use it, too. So, in our tiny little house we rearranged things one more time to accommodate the newcomer. It was packaged wonderfully and even came with some small tools. And, shocked to my shoes, ALL the parts were there. We love our new addition to the group. Just buy it- you will love it, too. P.S. You might wonder if we took what was meant for the living room for our home gym- we made the smallest room into the living room. I’m not a very big person (5’4” 128 lbs) almost 70 years old - still work out- got tired of going to a gym- bought this leg press and so far love it- very well made and sturdy and very nice looking equipment- I’m not doing heavy weights so can’t answer about how it would handle heavy weight but it gives a weight limit in the instructions sheet- the foot print is not big about 3’x4’ - it’s perfect for leg press and calf raises/stretch. Handles to help get up and down are sturdy and appropriately placed. Definitely a good purchase- arrived in 2 boxes a day apart - that was no biggie- nothing was damaged. The product is good, I only wish the foot plate was slightly tilted. Also, loading and unloading the plates is not that easy, especially for short women. As u can see, I had to put some stools on each side to load and unload the plates. It can easily be moved if needed to, because it came with wheels for wasy movement. ... show more
