  • So far It's working well.
Size: Intel i7-1195G7 16GB+1TB
I was a little nervous when I read the reviews about having to reload Win 11. I took a chance since the price was right for the performance and features for this mini PC. It came well packed and all the items promised were in the box. I plugged it in to my modem/router, monitor and my wireless keyboard/mouse. It took some time for the system to complete whatever Windows always seems to do on it's own. I am not a techie so I'm always wondering what the box is up to. I think it's a bid techie secret. Once it completed everything, the system appeared to work fine. My greatest challenge was how Win 11 works. I finally figured out how to work on Win 10 but my old tower apparently can't support Win 11, so here we go with a new system. I like that this is a small unit and not a boat anchor tower. It has plenty of ports so if I need to add something like an external drive I can. It has good internal storage and memory. This is a PC that is used for personal things, not work so I don't need anything over the top. The system runs faster than my old tower. I'm not noticing any noise like some reviewers have indicated, but in all honesty I am a bit hard of hearing. I'm not noticing the box heating up. It runs cooler than my tower PC. I was able to load up the applications that I regularly use and also got Google Chrome loaded easily. I'm hoping that this is the last PC that I'll need to buy. My tower lasted me14 years. Hoping this one will last another 14 years. ... show more

  • GMKtec NucBox K10 Mini PC – Compact, Quiet, and Outstanding Value
Size: Intel i9-13900HK 32GB+2TB
The media could not be loaded. I bought the GMKtec NucBox K10 after doing some digging, and I've been quite impressed with its performance, quiet operation, and overall value. This mini PC shines for productivity, development, and office tasks, especially for those who need solid power without taking up much space. I have several other GMKtec mini PCs and I keep coming back to them because of the build quality, performance, value, and support. The Cinebench results for the NucBox K10 speak volumes about its capabilities. The 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HK scores 118 points in single-core tasks, placing it at the top of the charts—it even outperforms Apple's M1 Max and M1 Ultra in that area. In multi-core performance, it lands at 856 points, securing fourth place overall—better than many desktop CPUs and trailing only behind workstation-class models. These results are impressive for such a compact device, making it perfect for demanding tasks like development and multitasking. My PassMark benchmarks further back up the NucBox K10's performance. It scored an overall rating of 5880.7, putting it in the 57th percentile. The CPU Mark hit 28,599 (79th percentile), Memory Mark came in at 4,000 (98th percentile), and Disk Mark reached 43,851.9 (90th percentile). While it's good for integrated graphics, don't expect it to handle gaming like a pro. In terms of noise, I measured idle noise levels at just 36 dB—barely noticeable—and full load at 43 dB—still very quiet. This makes the NucBox K10 an excellent pick for quiet offices or shared workspaces. Booting up is a breeze thanks to the high-speed NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro runs smoothly even with multiple heavy applications open. It's ideal for office suites, web development, software testing, and everyday productivity tasks. Plus, there are plenty of USB-A ports available for peripherals—which I find quite handy. One feature I really appreciate is how easy it is to open the bottom panel to access the expansion slots. Upgrading memory or adding additional NVMe drives is straightforward, making it simple to future-proof your setup or tailor the machine to your needs. At $560 USD, you really get your money's worth with the GMKtec NucBox K10. Competing mini PCs with similar specs often run $700 or more, especially models like Intel NUCs or Beelink with matching CPUs and memory configurations. Many alternatives either skimp on CPU power or come with less RAM and storage—and they usually cost more. For what you get in terms of performance and features, this mini PC is a steal. While I have this hidden behind my monitor, there are mounting slots on the back so you could easily mount it to a wall to keep it discreet. If I had to suggest one improvement, it'd be adding a USB-C port to the back of the computer. Right now, there's only one on the front—handy for quick access but not ideal for permanent connections like docking stations or monitors. With USB-C becoming more standard nowadays, having one on the back would make life easier. Still, having plenty of USB-A ports is definitely a plus for connecting various peripherals. The GMKtec NucBox K10 stands out as a compact mini PC that packs a punch when it comes to performance and efficiency while running quietly. It might not be geared towards gaming, but if you're into productivity and development work in a small form factor at this price point, it's hard to go wrong here—definitely worth considering if you need a powerful yet portable workstation! ... show more

  • The K7 Plus is a Great Mini-PC from GMKtec!
Size: Intel i7-13620H 32GB DDR5+2TB
The media could not be loaded. This is my third GMKtec mini-PC and this one is another strong performer. I purchased two different models before and have experience with their AMD units, but the K7 PLUS is my first GMKtec Intel mini-PC. Biggest Pros Out of the Box: - Solid and performant Intel Raptor Lake CPU in a small, lightweight package, with quiet operation under normal use. - Windows 11 Pro pre-installed with NO bloatware (a pleasant rarity among system builders these days). - 32GB of DDR5 running at 4800 Mhz - as advertised without having to change this in BIOS. - 2TB NVME (Mine had the Lexar NM620 installed, though YMMV). - GMKtec support is great. No issues with the K7 PLUS. When I had a manual BIOS update issue with one of my other GMKtec units in the past they were helpful, friendly, quick (though you may have to wait for a support email response on Shenzhen, China time), and delivered a hardware replacement exactly as promised. Chassis is plastic, not aluminum. It has a premium design and look, lots of ventilation, and the choice of plastic keeps costs down. Even under heavy loads, the processor remains relatively cool thanks to the well designed cooling system. The fan only kicks in during the most demanding tasks, and even then, it can be noticeable but not overly loud. I’ve used this driving both 4k and 2k 120hz displays and it is very smooth. I also have the setup in a portable/travel mode. Connecting a 1080p portable monitor on the road or to external displays, a hotel TV, or projectors while traveling is a great way to use this too. It also makes for a great home theater PC - I am really enjoying it so far! What’s Inside: - GMKtec Mini PC with Intel i7-13620H with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD - 120W power brick with barrel connector - VESA mount (for mounting the PC to the back of a monitor) - HDMI cable I may keep this as a mini-PC for travel, use it in as a home theater PC, or move it into my HomeLab and configure it for serving media or running Home Assistant and other virtual machines. If you're looking for any of the above this is definitely more than capable and I can certainly recommend it! ... show more
