The valves were very stiff when it came out of the box, a little valve oil fixed that problem immediately. Very good Trumpet. We’ve been playing this for about six months and it almost arrivals. The. Much higher priced of School Trumpet. If you don’t want to spend the money for a School trumpet. This is a great alternative and should be able to hit all the notes they need to. We use this as a second trumpet in the house, and to take on Scout events. This is a good starter trumpet for a child or an adult who thinks they would like to learn, but not sure they will be committed. It is not an expensive trumpet, therefore, will not feel or sound like one. For the price you pay, it has a good sound, nice appearance, and is easy to play.     • Ok horn for beginners. Beautiful finish. Not great intonation.

I play lead in a big band and our band leader thought it would be a fun idea to get green horns for our St. Patrick's day gig. So we went and found these. Cheap enough price considering we were only going to use it once (more than likely). I want to start off by saying that the horn is a nice horn. The green lacquer is well done. Really nice color. Playing wise it truly isn't terrible. The sound it produces is nice. It's pretty bright. Where it gets rough is intonation. Especially in the upper register. Now, for a beginner this probably wouldn't be a problem. So if your child (or you) want to dabble in trumpet without dishing $500+ for a "good" beginner horn then give it a shot. My trumpet doesn’t even work. It worked for one day and now it makes no sound 0/10. Also I was so excited to get it and the first day was fun until the second day it stoped working
