Features

  • WIND INSTRUMENTS FOR THE PEOPLE: Jean Paul's mission is to make music more accessible to the world. The TR-330 is designed to provide beginning and developing players with reliable performance and lasting durability as their skills progress. Ideal for students, families, and school music programs, it offers an accessible path to continued musical development.
  • TWO-PIECE YELLOW BRASS BELL FOR STUDENT BAND SOUND: The two-piece yellow brass bell gives the TR-330 the bright, projecting sound students are expected to produce in school band programs. The 4.92" bell diameter and standard-taper leadpipe pair to deliver the focused tone band directors recognize, so a beginner can carry that sound across rehearsals and concerts without fighting the horn.
  • U.S. QUALITY CONTROL BEFORE IT SHIPS: Every TR-330 is tested in the U.S. before it goes out. Valves are checked for smooth, even action, slides for free movement, the water key for proper seating, and the bell and lead pipe for dents and finish issues. The horn arrives ready to play, not waiting for a paid trip to the local shop.
  • PRECISION STAINLESS STEEL VALVES: The TR-330 uses stainless steel valves machined for a tight, even fit. Quick, predictable action while a beginner is learning fingerings, and corrosion resistance that holds up to daily classroom use. Valve oil is included, and any worn part is in stock through Jean Paul's parts catalog.
  • STUDENT-FRIENDLY DETAILS AND THE STANDARD 7C MOUTHPIECE: The 1st-valve thumb saddle gives smaller hands a stable grip while the right hand works the valves, and the fixed 3rd-valve ring keeps slide position consistent through early intonation work. The included 7C mouthpiece is the cup size most band directors specify for new players, so the TR-330 fits straight into a beginner band program.

Description

Designed for young and beginner musicians, the TR-330 Student Trumpet strikes the perfect balance between quality and performance. With just the right amount of breath resistance, a medium bore for superb tone and projection, and easy, rapid action stainless steel valves, this trumpet offers a great playing experience.

  • Great, low-cost, quality trumpet! Seems more advanced than a student/beginner horn.
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
Wow....just wow. The Jean Paul TR-330 Student Bb Trumpet out-performs its price-point. I was quite impressed with the quality of sound from the get-go as well as the fit and finish of the trumpet. Primarily a piano/voice person with more of a woodwind background (sax, clarinet, flute, piccolo), I wanted to upgrade an earlier trumpet I never fully got any sense of mastery with but just a short time with this horn and I'm seeing much improvement in range, articulation, and just a more of a sweet sound than I was able to produce on two other previous trumpets. I highly recommend this to anyone with a student beginning band or a more advanced player, for any hobbyist, or anyone wanting to double/triple/etc. on trumpet. My current alto sax is a Jean Paul and its quality plus my experience with the company helped make this an easy choice. ... show more

  • Great for beginners and everyone else!
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
Got this back in July of 2020. I’ve had it since and it plays BEAUTIFULLY! So I thought “I should make a review” so I will. First of all the build quality is amazing for the price, it’s no Yamaha Xeno but it’s up there. The 3rd valve ring on this model is non-adjustable but is placed in a very comfortable spot, the 2nd valve ring is in the standard trumpet spot and works very well. The instrument just feels right, the lower register notes and tones come out so easily, nice and dark just the way you’d like it. Higher register is also pretty easy to play. Any dynamic on this horn sounds great. I’m a college student and brought this to a college audition and I was told it sounded amazing, then again it’s the player that makes the instrument but compared to others this instrument is top quality. For beginners this is a perfect instrument, it’s very easy to play on and isn’t very heavy so students can get used to it. Jean Paul provides you with a polish rag and some valve oil which is great, also some gloves but y’know every trumpet comes with that these days. I have the say even the polish rag is made well and feels like a quality polish rag. Now comes what I don’t like, the valve oil that is provided to you in this case is, well good but not the best. When I first got the horn I used the oil in the case, it worked well for about 45 minutes and then the valves started sticking, I took out the valve and it looked pretty dry. I thought maybe I just have to clean the instrument out, so I did a full wash and tried again, this time it went on for about an hour and then the valve started sticking again. I tried a different valve oil and the valve have been fine ever since. I don’t think it’s the instrument I just think it’s the valve oil provided. It’s good for a short gig but if you’re playing for a long while get some different oil it’ll help. The case provided isn’t a hard case but works just as well as one, it comes with some backpack straps to turn it into a gig case and they actually don’t feel too bad, very comfortable and very durable. All in all this is an amazing instrument, very nice to play on and very easy to use. Most of what is provided is good quality the valve oil not so much. If you’re in high school and want a personal instrument I would definitely get this one. If you’re beginning in band and play trumpet, if you want to get a personal horn get this one. ... show more

  • Good Beginner Trumpet
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
I used to play trumpet in school and missed it so I bought this to start playing again. So far I have had the trumpet for like 5 years and I wanted to review it. I was thinking about buying a nicer trumpet because I'm a Libra and I like nice things. But then it hit me that this has actually been a really nice trumpet and case for a beginner. Like, it's nicer and better price point than the one my parents rented for me when I was in school. Too bad we didn't have Amazon back then..or even the internet but I digress. It has been a very nice trumpet for the 5 years I have had it. I don't play often and it works ok and looks even better. The only thing I can say bad about it is that the 3rd key is a little slow and sometimes I have to be really mindful of it or the notes come out a little flat or off. I've oiled the valves and kept it clean. I think maybe it could use a tighter spring or something, I'm not sure. It's been like this the entire time I've had it but it doesn't always do this. TL:DR - Great trumpet for the money ... show more

  • Worth every single penny!!!!
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
First off let me say that this trumpet is worth every penny. It arrived on schedule and when I opened it up, it looked like the person who wrapped it knew me and wanted to make sure it was perfect. The case is felt lined, canvas exterior, and lighter then my old case. Everything looked amazing. Once I had everything unwrapped, I oiled the valves. The valves look like they were cut by hand and polished to perfection. Even my $800 trumpet did not look that good. The valves are numbered so you wont get lost if you pull them all out and they depress and spring back effortlessly. I have owned four other trumpets throughout my life and I can honestly say that this surprised me especially for being brand new. Now on to the important thing, sound. When I blew into the trumpet, I could not believe my ears. It had such a rich and full sound that I checked to make sure they sent the right one. I haven't played a trumpet in almost 10 years so I went with something cheap just to get back in the groove and honestly, I may just stick with this brand if I decide to go with a professional model later. If you are or know someone who is planning on learning to play the trumpet or get back into it, then this is the right choice. The sound will definitely beat any rented instrument . I am so excited that now I have to go and play on this awesome instrument. Thank you Jean Paul for making an amazing and affordable trumpet. Truly one of the best I have played. ... show more

  • Found the instrument to be solid and the playing easy. The valves worked smoothly and slides a little ...
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
I have played the trumpet in my younger days in a military band as well as state youth orchestra many years ago. Am now am getting back to the instrument so consider myself a student again and decided to get an entry level student instrument. I found the Jean Paul USA TR-330 to be well reviewed and fairly inexpensive. More importantly it could be shipped to New Zealand where I reside. The trumpet was delivered in a well packaged box. Found the instrument to be solid and the playing easy. The valves worked smoothly and slides a little sticky but with some lubricant was fine. I liked the bright and clear tone. Had to get used to the 7C mouthpiece which was a little shallow for me. Overall very good value for the price paid and very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend anyone wanting a reasonably priced and quality instrument especially for a student as this instrument is easy to play and responsive. ... show more

Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
I like the sound. I like the features. I like the color. I am very very thankful to Jean Paul company. I am a Professional Pianist but I pick up new instruments to learn and multiply my talents. This is a good Trumpet. Good for beginners like me. And I play in my church and school band. High Notes are very easy to hit E,F,F# and G. Beautiful Tone. Excellent mouth piece. I broke one of the Piston Guides. I Immediately did a Wats app and contacted the customer support personal. They shipped the parts free of cost super quick and I received it in good condition. Thanks to Jean Paul. They act responsible and treat the customers with respect. They do understand our urgent requests. Product came in good packing From USA all the way to South India. Its good. No damages. Speedy delivery. Only concern is the Importing & Deposit charges. If it can be reduced - It would be great. ... show more

  • Fantastic Customer Service
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
We ordered this trumpet for my son who just started playing this year. We decided to purchase based on the price of a new student trumpet compared with rental costs in our area. He has been playing it for a couple of months now, and is really enjoying it. He's pleased with its feel and sound, and I'm extremely pleased with the customer service from Jean Paul USA. After having the trumpet for less than a month, my son tripped while moving to a quieter room and fell on the trumpet. He broke a couple of small components in the fall, but luckily nothing major. After looking for replacement parts, I realized that I could easily end up ordering the wrong parts so I called Jean Paul USA directly to find out what parts I would need to order. They said they had replacement parts in stock and asked when we purchased the trumpet. Upon finding out that the trumpet was only about a month old, they offered to send the parts free of charge, even though they knew it was my son's fault! They just asked that I e-mail them proof of purchase (screenshot of our Amazon order) and pictures of the parts we needed. The parts came in just a couple of days, and were extremely easy to replace myself. ... show more

  • Great Starter Trumpet
Style: TR-330 Configuration: Trumpet only
The is was purchased for my child who wanted to take band class is elementary school. It is a great trumpet for beginners - the cost was only slightly more for what it would have been to rent an instrument through the school.
