It’s not the best trumpet I’ve owned, HOWEVER it’s FAR from the worst. If you can’t splurge on a Stradivarius then I would definitely recommend this trumpet. Unless you are a beginner, then I’d recommend a beginner model. It plays great and has a decent tone to it. The thing about it that TRULY irks me to my core is the way I cannot adjust the third valve slide ring. But it comes with a soft case! I prefer soft cases! ... show more

Been using this horn for nearly 4 years. It's a little out of my price range to get a top model, but also it was time to move on from my student horn. Have not been disappointed.

    • Don't think it's made in Japan. Its from China
I bought this as replacement of Bach Prelude TR700 Trumpet is Selmer's entry level student trumpet which cost me $200 and it was from china. But after receiving I was surprised that this Yamaha TR4335GSII is also made in China and I paid 7 times the money.!!! I was under impression that it will be from Japan as I am paying more money but that was not the case. Overall trumpet plays good but I was not happy with finishing of this as there was some issue with bottom value cap finishing which was different color. I learned lesson that before buy make sure where it is made because I found no information about this on web or on yamaha website. ... show more
