I picked this little travel WiFi gadget before a trip cause I did not want to pay crazy roaming fees. It looked simple enough and I liked the idea of not needing a contract. Setup was pretty easy on my iPhone, just downloaded the app and followed the steps. It connected fast and worked fine in the US right out the box. The speed was good enough for maps, texting, and some light scrolling, but not really made for video streaming or gaming. I tried using it in a cafe and it got a bit slow when more folks showed up. Still, it was better than nothing and saved me from hunting for public WiFi every five minutes. Battery life was alright, lasted most of the day if I was not on it constantly. One downside is it only works with iPhones, which is kinda lame if you want to share with friends or family on Android. Also, the 10GB runs out faster than you think if you are using it a lot. Would be cool if there was a cheaper refill option or a bigger starter plan. But at least it worked in a bunch of different places without needing to mess with SIM cards. In the end, it is not perfect, but it is super handy for travel. Keeps you connected without stressing about fees or trying to ask strangers for their WiFi password. As long as you keep your expectations in check and use it smart, it is a solid little gadget to have in your bag.

I bought this hotspot mainly as a backup for work, just in case our home WiFi went down,and it’s already proven to be a great decision. It’s come through several times when our internet unexpectedly cut out, and I was still able to stay connected for meetings, video calls, and all my usual tasks without missing a beat. Setup was simple,just turned it on and it connected right away. The signal has been strong and steady, even with multiple devices connected at once. What really impressed me, though, is how well it works on the go. We’ve taken it with us in our RV on weekend trips, and it’s kept us connected even in areas where cell service is usually weak. It’s been great for streaming, checking email, and even getting some work done while traveling. It’s been a solid investment. It gives me peace of mind at home and a dependable connection on the road.

First up, I love the pricing that WiSimLeap offer, we're talking just a few bucks a day for 4G data - in almost any country! That's impressive. The Hotspot device is well built, it delivers wifi 6 and has a decent range. The battery capacity of the hotspot is an impressive 3500mAh - so it'll last a few hours (it can be conveniently charged using a USB-C wire - cable included). The cell speeds received are 4G and are very dependent on the carrier used - just don't expect anything close to 5G speeds. The inclusion of 20gb of trial data (US) was enough for me to try the device out. However, my experience is not all positive. As an Android user I found the activation process and Android app frustrating to work with, the instructions are a little vague and written in broken english. It's worth noting that the app is *not* available in the Google Play Store and the APK file had to be downloaded from a third party site and then sideloaded. I'm personally a little wary of sideloading unfamiliar apps, so I ran it through VirusTotal which thankfully came back clean. Once I got the device fired up with the app loaded in place, I managed to attach the app to the device - after trying various actions I wasn't sure which action I did bound the device, but eventually it kicked in. The 20gb trial is hidden behind the orders function in the app (it wasn't very easy to find), and it took a few attempts to activate the service. Once activated and power cycled I was good to go. The ordering portal (which is on their website or directly in the app) accepts credit cards and google pay - but no paypal, which is a shame. Can I recommend this device? Well, it works, it's cheap, the speeds are good, the data plans are a steal. I'm not a fan of sideloading and the activation process was undeniably clunky (if you use an iPhone you might have a different experience). I'd probably pack the hotspot when traveling as a backup device, just in case I need it.

I’m really happy with this device. I was looking for something simple, compact, and reliable, and the T8 checks all the boxes. Setup was super easy. It came mostly charged and connected automatically without needing a SIM card, which is a big plus. The signal has been solid so far, even in areas where my phone usually struggles. The hotspot quickly found a connection and stayed stable. The device is very small and lightweight ,easy to toss in a bag or even a pocket. I connected my phone, laptop, and tablet at the same time with no issues. It supports up to 8 devices, which is more than enough for my needs. The battery came partially charged, it can easily last around 12 hours. I also like that the data plans are flexible,you can pick what works for your needs. I’m really glad I picked this up. It’s easy to use, works right out of the box, and gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll stay connected while traveling.

I was really surprised by how great this little gadget turned out to be. Setup was super quick and easy,it connected to AT&T right away without me having to mess with any signal settings. The connection’s been solid and steady, even with a bunch of devices hooked up. I’ve had three phones and a laptop going at the same time, and everything ran smoothly with no buffering. We even took it with us on a trip to visit family in a rural area with no WiFi, and it worked like a charm. On weekends, we bring it out to our property about 10 miles outside of town, and it still performs just as well out there. Overall, I’m really happy with this device and plan to keep using it every week.
