I’ve had my eye on this set for a while and finally took the plunge. I’m glad I did. It is a really fun build and a high quality set. It is solid and has some serious heft. Putting it together took me about a week, working about an hour a night. Like the Ecto-1, it comes with a thick, high quality instruction manual that was fairly easy to follow. The package says 18+. I’m twice that and managed to make a couple mistakes (mostly just oversights of small pieces). And I somehow screwed up the firing mechanism. A 14 year old or even a 12 year old experienced with some more involved sets could do this. Or it’d be a blast to work on with your kid. If you or someone you know is a Mario fan or just love a fun LEGO build, the Bowser LEGO set is a must have. The detail on this set is amazing. He has poseable arms, a snapping jaw, and fiery eyes! The only problem is the tail the ball joints were so stiff and blocked I couldn't line them up then the piece fell apart now I have a tail that refuses to lock in place I would have done the tail before making the it spot it sits in
